| Keaira walked through Vergiften Strecke in search for a Dark Arts shop. She knew of one, Ivanovitch and Son's. She had overheard some kids talking about it once. Keaira had a feeling that it wouldn't be a pleasant place, at least not to people who wasn't her. But she liked unpleasant. So she kept walking until she saw the sign.
Keaira walked in through the door, and saw shelves with books all over the shop. This was good. She walked towards the first shelf and looked through it. Everything seemed so exsiting. But she could by everything. She had to find what most appealed her.
She turned to ask the man behind the desk, but saw that he was talking with another customer. So she calmly picked out a random book, started reading it, and waited for her turn, just as the door opened and another person came in. |

| Lucian had decided that he would come and see what the shopping was like in Germany, not just any shopping but Dark Arts shopping, after all being a Dark Beast himself he needed to know just what everyone else knew about his kind.
If he needed to worry or if he could remain inconspicuous without much effort.
Stepping into a shop entitled 'Ivanovitch and Sons' he looked around before spotting the book section and making a bee line for it, it looked as if it was extensive and he peered at the titles.
No demonology books. This was good.
Lucian spotted a girl and smiled charmingly at her before spotting her book: "Hello, what are you reading there?" |

| Keaira looked up as a guy asked her what book she was reading. Her eyes wandered up and down, studying him. Her eye twitched as she felt something unnatural about him, but nothing she recognized. She didn't smile when she turned fully to him; she wasn't a smiling person. She wasn't really anything but monotone, with exception of when she was in a fight, or had an argument with her twin.
"I'm reading a book about the dark effects of rituals. How to summon what should not be summoned," she said, pointing to the title that read the exact same thing in a curvy and swift handwriting.
She then tilted her head to the side, looking at him thouroghly. "You must be older than me. Am I right to presume so, and that you are studying at Durmstrang academy?" she asked him monotonously. |

| Lucian was a little surprised at the tone that the girl took with him and he looked closely at the book, he probably has a few of those summoning marks himself although he didn't really know, or care, if they were in the book.
"I see, something your interested in or just picking it up Because you're bored?"
This girl seemed different, odd, and not in a good way, tilting his head to one side Lucian listened as she asked him about himself, it was a little odd to him that was sure.
"Yes I'm a second year at Durmstrang. Are you starting this year or something? I haven't seen you around before."
Monotonous tones always freaked him out a little but Luciam just sighed softly. |

| "It was a random book that proved interesting," Keaira simply said.
She was intrigued by summoning rituals. She had once been part of one herself, where the summoner summoned a demon who ended up killing the summoner. She hadn't known the man, and she couldn't care less either. It had been thrilling, and that was all that was important to her.
However, Keaira was intrigued by this guy in front of her as well. There was something about him, that weird aura, that made her want to find out more. She compared the spirit of the guy with all others she had seen, but she couldn't find a right match.
Keaira then nodded. "I'm starting at Durmstrang this year, yes," she deadpanned and let her eyes drift over him again.
Something about him lured her in, and she was going to find out what, even if she had to be nice to do so. So she let a small smile place on her lips, not necessarily a friendly one, but it was still a smile.
"What's your name?" she asked, trying, not knowing if she was successful, in being friendly. |

| Lucian thought that this conversation was going to be extremely short, after all it was extremely hard ot be nice to someone who didn't really talk or give you much to work with, and what they did give to you was completely monotone.
"Thats...good yeah. What house are you hoping to be in? I could probably guess but you should confirm what I'm thinking."
Blinking a little Lucian thought that this girl reminded him of someone that he had seen around the castle, maybe a professor? But he didn't know, he didn't have her for any classes.
Now that she was smiling, Lucian smiled a little wider, the conversation might not totally be lost.
"Lucian, Lucian Ciero. What's yours?"
Picking up a book Lucian grinned and flipped it open: "What a funny little picture." |

| "Thats...good yeah. What house are you hoping to be in? I could probably guess but you should confirm what I'm thinking."
Keaira was an inch from smirking at that point. He was making it too easy.
"Oh, I'd rather find it more amusing if you did guess," she said wickedly.
She was pretty sure that she'd end up in Risikio, and that it wouldn't be a surprise to the people around her. She was used to people walking by to shudder or walk further away than necessary. Fear was not something she was unrelated to.
"Lucian? Cool name," Keaira said, "I'm Keaira Drake."
She thought of extended her arm for him to take so she would be able to read his spiritual energy a bit closer, but she didn't have the time before Lucian had picked out a random book.
She looked at the book he picked out and looked into it when he opened it and laughed at a picture. She raised an eyebrow unnoticably. It was a small picture of a weird symbol. What had to be the funny part, in Keaira's calculation, was the way the blood seemed to ooze out of the symbol. It was a weird flow, but Keaira instantly got mesmerized.
"Beautiful."
The word had come out of her mouth before she even had time to think. She clenched her teeth, and looked up at Lucian, smiling half-heartedly, hoping he wouldn't retrackt and leave before she had time to calculate his energy. |

| Lucian was wondering, yet again, what he was doing getting involved in s conversation with this girl, he should just turn around and walk away, but did he? No. He thought it was a good idea to keep talking to her about school, such a meaningless subject.
"Okay then, I'll have a guess, I think you'll be in Risiko, the green house that looks a bit like a mint, yeah that one, you remind me of the Head of Risiko a little."
Internally Lucian couldn't help but roll his eyes and think: 'On the basis that you seem at be as mad as she is, maybe they're related or something.'
With a small raise of the eyebrow when the girl, Kearia, looked at the symbol and called it beautiful Lucian felt alarm bells going off in his mind, this did not look good.
"Beautiful huh? It's rare you get someone who thinks that a symbol of destruction is beautiful, although it's design is intricate."
Shelving the book Lucian put his hands in his pocket and looked critically at Kearia: "You looking forward to school?" |

| Keaira finally let a grin spread on her face. "Indeed," she said, "I would think that Risiko would be my house."
She then looked curious. "I do? Hm, I think I'll take that as a compliment. Hopefully. I'll find out soon enough," Keaira joked.
The symbol in the book had ruined something for Keaira, though. She knew that Lucian didn't want to keep chatting with her. She wasn't going to hold him back either, but she was gonna try to be kinder. But to do that, she had to be a bit honest, but still buttering the truth. And only one way to start with that.
"Yes, I've always had a strange fascination to blood. Not the substance and people bleeding, of course, but the color," Keaira said calmly, with a small, apologetic smile on her lips.
It was true that the color had lured her in, but it wasn't true that she didn't like the substance. She loved the substance and to see people in pain. Their faces would be so life-like when in pain. Keaira shook her thoughts away. She had never hurt another person in her life but herself (and her twin when they were playing games).
When he asked her if she was looking forward to school, she felt a strong enthusiasm. She nodded her head quickly; she looked forward to getting out of the dump that was her guardians home.
"Definitely. I can barely wait," she said, letting her small smile widen when she felt the joy well up.
Yes, Keaira was a monotone person, but she had feelings. They pressed past her features the minute she let them, and she was currently almost laughing by the thought of starting at Durmstrang.
"Is it fun there? Are the classes good? How about the teachers?" she asked, finding herself exploding with curiosity and questions. |

| Lucian felt a little better now that the girl had let some expression onto her face, before it had been like talking to a robot and it made him a little bit freaked out, hopefully though she was becoming a bit more social now.
"Yeah, you really do, maybe you'll see the resemblance yourself when you get to the school, it is very striking I have to say, although I've only seen her in passing."
Shrugging his shoulders a little bit, Lucian blinked a little and wondered about the sanity of this girl in front of him and if he was going to be stuck with a knife before he left.
"Colour of blood, right okay I can roll with that, red's a nice colour, although I prefer it a bit brighter and not so...steeped in bad omens."
Glad to have the conversation turn from blood Lucian smiled a little and shook his head lightly, there was nothing he hated more than that place and he wouldn't enjoy being there again.
"In my opinion? I hate the place and I couldn't wait to leave, but that's because I hate the cold and I in no way want to stay somewhere so freezing. The classes are boring bar charms, you should take that, the Potions professor is a nutter you'll want to stay away from her." |

| "Interesting," Keaira said, and meant it.
She was now, not only looking forward to getting away, but to see this teacher. She smiled softly to Lucian as he talked about the colour.
"Yes, a sharp red is very wonderous too, especially next to black. It's such a big contrast," Keaira commented.
Keaira was pleased to hear of the cold. She liked cold. But this guy already doubted her. No reason to add to the doubt. She smiled when he started talking about the subjects. She also grew curious at the crazy ass potions teacher. She wanted to know who that was too. Two teachers she was gonna like then? Hopefully.
"I do plan on taking Charms, yes. But Potions is also on my list, so avoiding that teacher would be hard, I suppose," she said slowly, "But I'll be on my guard."
Keaira almost snorted at what she said; as if she ever put her guard down. She could never tell when Myles would jump out of nowhere and attack her, besides, she just didn't trust anyone, so she always kept watch of where she was and who was around her.
"Maybe school will be better this year," Keaira then said, "Due to global warming."
She grinned at the joke. She had actually just made a joke. She seriously hadn't made a single joke in years that wasn't dark. |

| Lucian was getting into the flow of the conversation and he smiled slightly when she said that she liked a brighter red too, maybe she wasn't that bad after all, she just had trouble expressing herself in a manner that wasn't creepy.
When she seemed to be interested in Charms Lucian was glad of that fact because he would have something to talk to her about if things got a little awkward.
"You'd better be, apparently she slices and dices you if you're late, anyway, speaking of classes what's your favourite? I could probably tell you something about the Professor if you're interested."
The joke that she made was a little funny and Lucian smiled wryly at it, although it was quite an odd thing to say it was quite true, there was indeed that problem, he himself should know being hundreds of years old, the world had indeed gotten that little warmer.
"Global warming huh? You buy into all that? Don't worry about it I do too, but, it doesn't seem to me a problem that most wizards and witches worry about. I'm just glad that places I like are getting hotter by the year, especially my homeland."
Lucian sighed contentadly at the memories of the Carribean and wished that he could return there one day. |

| "Well, my favorite would probably be ... Well, Potions, really, so I hope she isn't too bad," Keaira said with an insecure smile, while on the inside she was screaming: hope she is horrible and crazy.
"And, I wouldn't mind if you told me something about her. I mean, I wouldn't mind knowing what she normally does and stuff. Do you have the class yourself?" Keaira asked.
She noticed that the conversation was flowing a bit on itself at the moment, and she was glad. During the chat, she had chanelled the guy's energy, and she knew she was close to finding out what he was. But this was a shop. In a blink of an eye, he could've just said he needed to get new robes or something and be gone. However, she would try to make the conversation as pleasant as she could.
"Yes, I know it might seem weird for someone like me to even care about shit like that, but I want to be able to live in a world where polar bears still exists. Polar bears are my favorite animal. Well... Kinda, at least. They're so primal, you know. They really are, in every sense of the word, animals. And don't get me wrong; I would hate to meet one myself. Even as a witch," Keaira told him, adding a fake shudder to her last lines.
"It's warm in your hometown? Where are you from?" Keaira asked, remembering how important it actually was to know of someone's nationality if you wanted to be able to read their spirits. |

| Lucian raised his eyebrow, this girl sure did have a big interest in the potions teacher that she hadn't even met, even though she did want to do potions, Lucian couldn't help but think that this was a little odd, and he wondered if he should tell her anything more...
"Well, I don't really know that much I haven't taken her class, but one of my friend have and she told me that she gives out dried veins or bits of bone as housepoints, and she has to be called 'The Sweeney' so I don't know her real name."
Smiling slightly when Lucian was told that Keaira's favourite animal was a polar bear, he had to say he was surprised, he had thought it might be something like a bat or a spider, she seemed to give off the type of vibes that would suggest she'd like those things.
"Polar bears huh? Well, I don't really have a favourite animal because they don't really like me, they do a number whenever I go near them, quite funny really."
Wondering again whether he should actually tell her where he is from Lucian decided that there was no harm, after all he had swapped and changed countries so many times, and his home town wasn't really his home at all.
"The Carribean." |

| Keaira immediately knew he was withdrawing information from him when he said what he said. He had told her he knew a bit about her and that he'd be glad to tell her more. Now, he was hesitating. He didn't want to tell her. But Keaira didn't care. After all, it really wouldn't be long until she could go to Durmstrang and find out by herself.
"Ah, well, she doesn't sound very nice," Keaira said with a frown.
Then she smiled to him. "Yeah, it's not something you'd expect, right? What if I say this: I'm terrified of spiders. They totally creep me out," she said, her grin growing for every word.
It was the truth too. She honestly couldn't stand spiders. The way they moved and all. Seriously, it was disgusting.
But she tilted her head to the side in curiosity. "Why wouldn't animals like you?" she asked.
Keaira then blinked when he told her where he was from. First of all, she hadn't really expected him to. Secondly, it wasn't every day you met someone from the Carribean.
"The Carribean? Seriously? That is pretty awesome. I've never been there myself, but it's one of those places I feel I have to go to before I die. Do you agree?" Keaira asked. |
