Background Information:Markuz was born in Warsaw, to the impoverished Dobcek family. His mother did not survive giving birth. Markuz is an only child, was raised by his father and lived a harsh life. Barely having enough money to pay for tuition at Durmstrang, he had to work with second hand materials and his father pushed him to always perform to his best. Finishing at Durmstrang, Markuz then went into the wizard army, were he stayed in active duty for ten years, here he picked up swordfighting. Not that nancy-boy fencing, but actual swordfighting. Two years into service, Markuz received word of his father's death. Now the last member of his family, Markuz became more careful in putting his life on the line during battles. At twenty-eight, Markuz was honourably discharged and he took a job at a book store in Berlin, whilst using all free time to improve his favorite branch of magic: Transfiguration. Now at 34, Markuz feels ready to become a professor at Durmstrang. During his last year in active duty, Markuz got hit by a Nightly Torture Spell in the right knee. This spell causes extreme pain to the affected body part, and it does so every night for the rest of your life. Fortunately, Markuz recognized the spell and managed to apply the counter swiftly. This caused the spell to be only partially efficient, causing Markuz only mild pain every night. Markuz uses a common wooden cane during the nights, to relieve pressure from his wounded right leg.
