Settling in on the office (OPEN) Empty Settling in on the office (OPEN)

Lucia walked into her office with a big grin on her face. She loved being the school's healer. She opened a closet and added some potions she had made to it. She needed to be ready for anything, really. She could never tell what might happen in the duelling classes the headmistress taught or in any of the others.

She then sat down behind the desk and started writing on her paperwork when she heard something break in the hospital wing. She rose and exited her office to see what was going on. Some china was broken and crushed on the floor. Then Lucia jumped.

"Merlin's beard! You scared the lifeshit outta me!" she said, holding her hand on her chest.

Haley was walking up to the infirmary in hope that something would cure her extreme headache. She really needed something to ease it. It hurt like hell and it felt like her brain was coiling in her squall.

She walked into the infirmary and headed to madam Henley's office. Then she lost balance and her eyes got dotted. She hit something, and that something fell to the floor and smashed. It sounded like china, but Haley couldn't see.

"Merlin's beard! You scared the lifeshit outta me!"

Haley tried to apologize, but her knees gave in, and she fell to the floor with a thud. She was still conscious though, but she wished she wasn't. Maybe the pain would go away then.

Lucia knew at once that something was wrong when she looked closer at the girl. And, just on cue, the girl fell to the floor. Lucia shot towards her, and helped her back on her feet and over to a bed.

"What hurts?" she asked, though she had a fair feeling that it was the girl's head, so she immediately took out her wand and subdued the brain.

Then she frowned. "You're a diabetic?" she asked.

"What hurts?"

Haley didn't get to reply, since madam Henley had already started to examine her. Then the pain was subdued by something, and Haley could look up.

"You're a diabetic?"

Haley nodded. "Yes," she said.

What really annoyed her was the fact that the pain had been caused by none other than herself. She sighed.

"I forgot to take my shot today," she said slowly.

Suddenly all the pain was gone. She frowned.

"What just happened?" she asked the medic.

Lucia nodded. "I see," she said.

Then she pressed a finger to miss Smith's stomach. "Darrectum," she muttered.

Miss Smith frowned as the pain vanished. "What just happened?"

Lucia smiled. "I cured you," she said.

Then Lucia rose and walked to the medic cabinet and pulled out an orange liquid. She walked back to miss Smith and smiled.

"Here, take a drop of this until it is empty. One a day, preferably by night. It will establish order to your sugar level and hopefully rid you of the diabetic disorder," Lucia told the girl with a smile.

Haley sat with her mouth wide. A life without being diabetic? Slowly, the words sunk in and a smile slowly formed.

"Really?" she asked, but she believed madam Henley. "That is amazing!"

She felt like a heavy burden was lifting off her shoulders. She grinned at the medic, feeling happier than she had felt in a while.

"Thank you," she said solemnly.

Lucia smiled at miss Smith. "That's what I'm here for," she said.

Then she rose from her kneeling position and smiled down at miss Smith where she was sitting.

"Just remember to take the drop, and try not to let more or less than 24 hours pass between each. Ten minutes or so does not matter, but try not to make it 25 or 23 hours," Lucia instructed.

Then she walked to her office.

"Tell me if you still feel dizzy after three days," she said, "And have a good night," she added with a smile. Then she walked into her office with a beam. She had just treated her first student.
