Getting There

"Okay, okay." he said and lifted his arms above his head in a gesture of surrender. "Just don't hurt me. You may be a girl, but I know you are more dangerous than you look." Humphrey said.

"So you should. I could kill you with a blunt pencil, you know," She said, going a bit over with her enjoyment of teasing people.

"I don't doubt it. Unlike some boys, I know that the ladies are far more dangerous than the men. They are trickier and can slip a knife between your ribs without you knowing why they disliked you." he said. "Thankfully I have read many books with lady murderers in them. I know how they can kill. Well some of the ways that they can kill..."

Keiba burst out laughing. "How on earth did this conversation even spring up?" she exclaimed, thinking how amusing it was to hear a boy say those things.

"I believe it began when I didn't catch one of your jokes. Then we just kept chasing rabbit trails until we arrived at that one." he explained to Keiba.

"It was rhetorical," she sighed, pursing her lips at him and raising a brow. "Gee, and I think I don't pick up on things like that!" she joked.

"Point taken. I am the one with he pathetic sense of humor, not you." Humphrey said.

"Told ya."
Right at that moment Keiba's kitten, Milly, caused a racket and pulled everything of Humphrey's out of the bag racks after jumping into them unnoticed.
"Oh my god!" Keiba cried as his belongings came crashing down. "I am so sorry! She really is a klutz!"

"Hmm, interesting. I wonder where she gets it from?" he pondered aloud. "From one of your friends maybe?" he asked Keiba. "Oh, and I was wondering if I could call you Keibs?" he queried.

"She's a cat. She was born with it," Keiba said skeptically. "And yes, you may call me Keibs, everyone at home does." She started helping to pick up the fallen things off the floor.

Just then Humphrey glanced out the window. "We need to change." he said. A village was rapidly approaching.

"Is that Hogsmeade? Oh surely not!" Keiba gasped, grabbing her knapsack and rushing out of the room, leaving Humphrey by himself with her terror of a cat.

Keibs rushed out of their carriage to go change, leaving Humphrey with the klutz of a cat. He drew the blinds completely down on the windows and the carriage windows and then changed into his plain black wizard robes and hat. He put his Muggle clothes in his trunk. Then made sure he still had everything with him. He did. Excellent.

Keiba came back into the carriage soon after, knocking to make sure Humphrey had changed into his own robes.

"Come in." he said when Keiba knocked. At least that's who he presumed it was and he was correct. "Hey," he started when a sharp stop almost knocked him off his feet. "Well, we're here. Let's go to Hogwarts!" he yelled with a grin. He left his trunk on the train. He had read that their trunks and cages if they had pets would be taken up for them. Stepping out of their carriage, he began his first steps on his way from Hogsmeade Village to Hogwarts Castle. Almost there.

Keiba quickly followed her newfound friend. Scooping Milly into her arms, she followed him off the train. They were directed to the lake by who she presumed was either a professor or gamekeeper, and they made their way to Hogwarts.
