Background Information:


Ostanda had a typical (Muggle) childhood full of laughter and care free days spend lazing about in the sun, there were of course milestones broken bones and broken hearts, but all this was quite normal and of no true interest. By the time she was nineteen she had been in a steady relationship with a young man named Augusto. Only a few weeks after her twentieth birthday she called her cat from the back door of her house in the early evening. When Diego didn’t return immediately she was not very concerned, he often took his time after she called him. A few house later it was quite dark out, taking a flashlight she walked into the yard calling him. In a moment, too quick for her to even scream, fire filled her side and her body was being torn by an unknown beast. Augusto who was just returning home from work heard her cries of pain, and grabbing a knife from the kitchen ran to her aid.

Reaching them he buried the blade into the creature’s side, it bellowed with rage and pain before galloping away. Scooping up Ostanda Augusto carried her to the car and tied a white pillow case to his car antenna a sign used commonly to indicate and emergency and sped to the hospital without being pulled over. After a few weeks in the hospital she was released. Upon arriving home Augusto proposed to her saying he never wanted to be without her not even for a moment, as Ostanda wept with joy he serenaded her, off key.

A few nights later she was afflicted with a terrible head ache. The next morning she awoke, naked to find her home in shambles Augusto disemboweled in the kitchen. Memory came to her in flashes, the pain, the rage, the hunger. She saw a shadow looming greatly over her love, a flash of blood, screams, she fell to the floor guilt washing over her, somehow she had killed him. She dressed quickly and fled unsure of where she was going, but as the months passed and the bodies piled she came to the conclusion to hide herself away from all people in the wilds of Siberia.
