Apprentice! (Char and Michael) Empty Apprentice! (Char and Michael)

Post by Charlotte Smith Fri Dec 09, 2011 11:00 pm

Charlotte had applied for an apprenticeship in potions and she had been more than surprised when she had gotten accepted into it, she didn't think that she would be for some strange reason but at least this meeting would give her a chance to show how enthusiastic she was.

Approaching the potions classroom Charlotte entered quietly and she knocked on the door to Professor McBride's office softly, waiting for him to answer.

She hoped that she would be able to make a good impression on him because she wanted to get along with him, and she wanted to be able to make this apprenticeship last a long time so that she could learn as much as possible.

"Professor, Professor McBride?" she asked quietly

Apprentice! (Char and Michael) Empty Re: Apprentice! (Char and Michael)

Michael McBride was, down to a fault, a very, very patient man. He had to be, if he wanted to be a Detective, or a conman for that matter. But this lead he was chasing down for some new ingredients - and perhaps even the stirrings of a possible Necromancing Cult - was... tricky, for lack of a better word. Recently, his shipments for new ingredients have been attacked, mainly by the group mentioned above. He didn't like it when people messed with his shipments, not one bit.

But there was also another lead in Nigeria for the ever-coveted and forever-shunned Chimera Tears. Now, what was so interesting about the Chimera Tears was the fact that it was already an almost impossible to actually kill a Chimera itself, but making it cry was almost a futile attempt at the thought. Though, if one were to acquire a Chimera Tear, or even the quantities his supplier was promising, one could - in theory - cure any ailment.

Except Death, that ailment was a rather permanent one.

A knock on his door gained his attention, along with the attention of Watson, his Great Dane, who growled at the door.

"Professor, Professor McBride?" Came a student's voice. Right, he was meeting a student - Charlotte Smith, if he remembered correctly - about the apprenticeship. He sighed, and sipped at his freshly brewed coffee, waving the door open with 'The Force'.

"Come in, Charlotte," He said, picking up a manilla folder. Her dossier, to be exact. A Metamorphagus, eh? That should be fun. He looked up and smiled. "Now, I hear you wanted to be my apprentice. Or one of them, at least. Hope you can play with others."
