Potion: Third Year, Lesson 1 Empty Potion: Third Year, Lesson 1

Summer was over; and as she relaxed on her chair she wondered just who would end up in class. Her second years were now third, and she wanted to know if they knew how much harder it would get. She smiled softly at the thought, she had a soft spot for them really. She now waited for them to enter.

Alcyone walked along to her next class with a bored expression on her face. Lessons, how dull. She was worried now more than ever about Capella, as her darling little sister whom she loved with all of her heart and all of her mind was completely alone at the manor. She winced at the thought of the tortures her sister might be experiencing at that very moment. She grit her teeth and held her head high, taking a seat in the middle of the classroom and waiting for the class to start.

Entering the classroom, he realized he wasn't the first, rather another Slytherin had beat him. He sat down at the front and flashed a small smile at the girl.

"Afternoon professor" he said and lowered his head to take out his notebook.

Xander walked into class, happy to see he wasn't late.

He smiled at the Slytherin girl. They'd never really talked, but she'd always seemed pleasant. In an...inner turmoil sort of way.

He took his usual seat next to Luke and smiled at his favorite professor. He'd asked her at the end of last year if she was taking any more apprentices, but hadn't actually gotten an answer.

Seeing that there were three students, she sighed and began the lesson. From this group, she wondered who excelled at what, she new Mr. Clarke wanted to be her apprentice, and she would tell him the news after class.

"Welcome students to another year of Potions" she said smirking. "Some of you are more familiar faces than others, but be assured, despite all that I won't go easy on you."

Walking towards the board, she wrote on the board the lesson of the day.

"Can anyone tell me about the Calming Draught?"

Luke noticed no one was answering, so he raise his hand and once chosen, he smiled brightly.

"A Calming Draught was a potion used to calm a person down after they had suffered a shock, trauma, or emotional outburst."

Angel nodded and smiled softly. Mr. Sullivan was a good student, very eager to learn, perhaps she could pick up the pair.

"Correct, ten points to Slytherin. Now class it seems we have run out of time, next lesson we will continue with today. Thank you. Mr. Sullivan and Mr. Clarke please stay after class "

She decided that perhaps she could accept them as apprentices.
