Background Information:

Alex was born as Torvik, he was given the name Alexander by his family because they didn't want him to be picked on a school for having such an old name. But at home he was always Torvik, leading to him thinking of himself more as Torvik than Alexander. The reason for the Norse name was that his mother and father, both creature hunters themselves, still worshipped the Old Norse Gods as their ancestors had done before them. The reason why they continued to pray?

Because if they prayed they were granted the gift of the Berserker.

Alex inherited the capability for the Berserker gift and can use it if he has prayed recently to his gods. Both his mother and father homeschooled him, teaching him how to be a hunter. Hence he missed out of basic spellwork to focus on spells that would be useful in hunting dangerous creatures. He cannot, for example, turn a pin into a match. He can, however, turn anything metal to silver with a flick of his wand. His abilities with weapons are second to none, easily beating both his mother and father with any type of bladed weapon.
