This is the new stuff (Alexander and Chris)

Alex sighed a little bit as he sid into one of the booths scattered around the room, sliding his butterbeer along the table as he went. He was more than a little bit tired from all the work he'd been putting in at the moment. There seemed to be a heck of a lot more creatures out there who wanted to harm humans and other creatures which meant his services were in high demand.

But he'd come to the Three Broomsticks today, on a Hogwarts Hogsmeade weekend, because it was going to be absolutely jammed packed full of kids. Why would he wish to come to the pub when it was going to be jammed packed full of annoying little snots? Well because it was completely innocent. And after spending the last few days killing creatures who had gone out of control, he needed some form of innocence in his life. Aside from Umbra of course. She was as pure and as innocent as pure snow but she had made some female friends and they had decided that she needed a spa day. It would be nice for Umbra to have friends other than him so he'd supported the idea.

Sipping at his butterbeer, listening to all the voices that had yet to break, Alexander suddenly wished her friends had invited him along too.

Christopher walked slowly into the Three Broomsticks, it was full of happy children and that always placed him in a good mood and he needed to be in a good mood right now, after the war with Germany was officially over he had thought that the rest of his term in office was going to be very quiet, however, that was simply too much to ask for it seemed.

Although he wouldn't tell anyone, he was really really tired in himself. His bones felt more heavy each day and he almost wanted to give up this job as minister, but he had a duty to wizardkind, who still seemed to support him, it was their support that kept him going and he hoped that they continued to do so even if he left.

Seeing a man looking quite alone sitting by the bar he wandred up to him and smiled happily and he sat down next to him ordering an orange juice he turned to the man and gave him a cheery wave.

"Hello there young man! Penny for your thoughts!" he cheerfully asked.

Alex had been staring at the bottom of the empty butterbeer bottle for the past five minutes, toying with the idea of asking for something stronger from the bartender. When the older man came up next to him and waved happily at him while ordering an orange juice. Alexander glanced at him and blinked a few times when he realised who it was,

"You are the minister for magic yes?" he asked in slightly fractured english, "What is important man like you doing here?"

He decided that if he was going to be talking to someone so high up in the world he was going to need to remain sober. Ordering another butterbeer, he sipped at it as he thought for a moment,

"You are coming here often?"

Christopher tilted his head to one side when he realised that the man was not English, not that it mattered to him but the fractured English gave it away to him and he hoped that he wouldn't mind him not being able to speak his native language, he was never very good with languages that weren't French or German.

"Yes I am the Minister for Magic, Christopher Rubin at your service. Who may I ask are you?" he asked happily sipping at his orange juice and chuckling lightly when one of the small toddlers in the pub knocked into his leg, righting them, he set them on their way.

"I am here to merely enjoy...being for a few hours." he stated with a large smile "Being in an office can make you more than a little...claustrophobic if you're there for too long. I am human, just like everyone else."

Nodding his head, Christopher smiled again; "Yes I come here often, normally to the private room in the back however, but not today. What about your good self sir?"

Alexander chuckled a little bit as he sipped at his drink. Of all the people to sit next to him, he'd never expected the minister for Britain to sit next to him at the bar. The most he'd expected was one of the hogwarts professors or something,

"Ah of course, you would not know of me. I am Alexander Lovinson, minister." he smirked ever so slightly, "I am doing work for you occassionally. Though I talk to man named Silas."

At the mention of an office making you feel entrapped, Alex shivered in disgust at the thought. Maybe it was the warrior blood in him but being confined to a room was just his worst nightmare,

"Yes offices are not good for the soul." he agreed before smirking again, "Sometimes I think office is made by satan. Offices be terrible places."

He shrugged a little bit, "I am not coming here often no. I am coming here for first time. Needed... calm. Innocence. After hard job for the Silas man."

Christopher smiled lightly when he told him his name, now that he knew what he was called, he knew that he worked for him, although he had never met the man himself, he was very very valuable when the creatures were starting to ride up against the humans. Alexander was a good man, despite his tendancy for violence.

"Now that I know you name of course I know of you Alexander! You are a very essential part of the ministry, and I am glad to meet you in person finally." he stated with a kind smile gracing his features "Silas normally deals with the more, strategic war side of the ministry."

Laughing lightly when Alexander seemed to shiver at the very thought of an office he shook his head and his eyes twinkled from underneath his glasses, he was glad he had decided to come to this pub today, if only because he had met someone to which he owed a great deal.

"My soul must be completely damaged beyond repair the amount of time I spend in the office." he chuckled lightly "You sir, are lucky."

Tilting his head to one side, Christopher smiled softly he could understand that, it was another example of how the work that they were undertaking was getting on top of them and they both needed some time to relax.

"I see, it seems that we are both in the same boat." he smiled softly "We both need a little escape from the pressures of our work."

Alex was more than a little bit surprised that the Minister seemed to know of him because he'd introduced himself. Odd considering he was basically a contractor, or specialist, called in to work freelance for the ministry against dangerous creatures,

"You are too kind minister." he said, bowing his head gratefully, "I am just a man doing a job. My job saves lives of those threatened by dangerous creatures and this pleases me. I seek no special recognition minister."

He shrugged a little bit, smirking faintly, "If your soul is damaged, sir, then I worry for everyone elses. You are best of us."

Alexander chuckled a little bit when the Minister compared the work that the two of them did. Don't get him wrong, he had the utmost respect for what the minister did. But he hadn't just drowned a vampire to death by holding the creature's head in a shallow amount of water in a sink,

"I do not escape minister." he told the man with a soft smile, "I have photographic memory."
