Getting back to normal (open)

Airen was outside of his cabin. He wore a simple sleeveless, open leather vest with Swordmage training pants, and special boots that were extremely light, but also offered the same protection. He walked to his backyard. The whole area was littered with exercise equipment and some special items that helped a Swordmage keep at top physical condition. He hadn't been out here for some time. Mostly due to the ritual he performed. His vest didn't hide the scar that sprawled over his heart.

He had his sword and sheath in hand. It had been gathering dust since he had performed the ritual. He dared not touch the actual sword for fear of confirming the most probable side effect of the ritual. Loss of his Swordmage Magical Gene. He had run that risk when he had activated a spell that, on the day of Charlotte's supposed death, would actually cause her to fall asleep for one hour, while whatever would have caused her to die would have been healed or otherwise dealt with. It was a powerful spell. Only a Swordmage could perform it. They had to have a strong will and a plentiful supply of magic.

He cast those thoughts aside, and set to work exercising. He quickly found that he needed to make up a lot of what he once had. It would take time, but he needed to do this for himself. He soon became so drawn into his exercising, that anyone could sneak up on him. But he was safe here, right?
