Lesson Four - First Years Empty Lesson Four - First Years

Post by Cobalt Smith Mon Jan 23, 2012 10:57 pm

Cobalt sighed as he sat behind his desk, propping his feet up on his large desk as he waited for his students to arrive. As the last lesson of their first year, Cobalt had decided that now was the best time to teach the class a very useful and interesting spell that had a variety of uses. He just hoped that none of them were stupid enough to use it in pranks, he'd catch them out because they'd be the only ones able to use the spell.

Lesson Four - First Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - First Years

Post by Haley Vilde Smith Mon Jan 23, 2012 11:24 pm

Haley, who had been extremely late last time, rushed unnecessarily quickly towards the infiltration classroom with her bag packed with the books needed and her wand in her robes. She opened the door, worried that she was late, which she clearly wasn't. She was the only one who had arrived with exception of the teacher.

She smiled to him, and then picked out a spot in the middle of the classroom, fishing up her books and starting to read randomly about different strategies that were useable when it came to infiltration. Haley really wasn't the best strategizer, but she could still learn, she figured, so she had read up on a lot, and was not stopping now. It was pretty interesting, actually.

Airen trudged sleepily to the classroom. He'd woken up later than normal for him. When he reached the classroom door, he painted a smile on his face and walked in. Taking a seat at the front, he put one arm on the desk and propped his head on his arm.

"Mornin' , Professor," he said sleepily.

Lesson Four - First Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - First Years

Post by Charlotte Smith Tue Jan 24, 2012 12:23 am

Charlotte smiled and hurried into class, she was excited for today like she was for every lesson her father gave purely because she would get to sit next to Airen, and they had formed quite a bond over the year, she was a little sad this was their last lesson together this year.

Opening the door to the class Charlotte walked in briskly, sending a smile to the Hufflepuff girl she didn't really know, before smiling at Airen and her father.

"Hello everybody, may I sit here Airen?" she asked gesturing to the seat next to him, he seemed a little tired, which oddly, made him a little cute.

Salina arrived at her Infiltration class on time today, which was much more satisfying than arriving late like last time. She moved to a seat at the back and sat down, placing her bag by her feet and kicking it under her desk, she noticed that there were the same 3 students from a majority of her lessons.

"Hmm?" Airen mumbled. He worked his eyes open as they had drifted shut while waiting for the lesson to begin. When he opened them, he saw Charlotte smiling at him. He thought that this was a sight to wake up too. Smiling, he nodded his head slowly, still a bit tired.

"You don't need to ask. I'll always say yes," he said softly. He lifted his head off his hand. He put his hand to the back of his neck and rolled his head slowly. Sighing and feeling much more awake, he took out his ink, quill, and parchment. Well, he could always get more rest during the summer.

Lesson Four - First Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - First Years

Post by Parker Emery Tue Jan 24, 2012 1:12 pm

Parker had left a bit early, wanting very much to be on time for this class. He walked into the class, noticing that a few others were already there. Perfect, not too early.

He saw Haley in the middle of the room reading something, and went to go sit next to her. He sat down quietly, not wanted to disrupt her and looked over a bit so see what he was reading.

Pxyis' walked in after Humphrey, just in time to hear his little... speech. She rolled her eyes and walked straight past him to the seat beside Parker that was not taken by Haley. She felt as if she was closer to Parker than any of the girls in her dorm, which was strange. She'd never really talked to boys much before, but now her best friend was one.

"Hey Parker, Haley," she muttered, setting her bag down.

When Pxyis sat down next to him, he looked away from Haley's book and at her smiling. "Hi, Pyxis." He was glad she was in pretty much every one of his classes. It helped put him a bit more at ease, with the room feeling a lot less impersonal.

He was glad they were best friends but worried a bit for the break. He really wanted them to keep in touch and wanted them to stay as close through to the next year.

Pxyis felt that warm feeling in her stomach that she always felt whenever she was in the presence of Parker. "Wonder what we're up to this lesson," Pxyis said, grinning. "Last time I had to use a spell to un-lock the door, cause the teacher and Char were already inside. There were 3 of us that were late," Pxyis giggled.

Haley smiled to Parker when he sat down next to him, and then resumed her reading. Then Pyxis came and sat down on the other side of Parker.

"Hello," Haley replied to her.

Haley grinned at Pyxis when the story of last time was told. "Yeah, it was pretty creepy walking into the classroom then. It felt like I'd just walked in on something super personal," Haley commented.

"I'm good here, Humphrey, but feel free to join me," Haley said.

One thing Haley couldn't stand was when new friends got clingy. She was going to make sure that Humphrey did not become so.

Lesson Four - First Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - First Years

Post by Cobalt Smith Tue Jan 24, 2012 10:30 pm

Cobalt yawned a little bit before standing up in front of the class, closing and locking the door to the classroom with a simple wave of his wand. Standing in front of the blackboard, Cobalt coughed a little bit to clear his throat before speaking. When he spoke it wasn't in his own voice. No, he sounded exactly like the headmistress, Briony Romain,

"Hello students, I'm sure you're wondering what we're doing this lesson." he chuckled in Briony's voice before coughing again. His voice changed to Airen's slightly accented voice, "I'm goin' to teach you a spell to change your voice..."

He coughed again,

"To any sound you've ever heard before." he finished in his normal voice again. He took a piece of chalk and wrote on the blackboard, "The incantation is simple... Logit. Repeat after me.... Low-git. Logit. Not Log-it. Low-git."

He turned to the class,

"Repeat three times without wands."

Airen shot his head up when Professor Smith turned his voice to sound like Airen. Smiling slightly, he took notes on the professor's lesson.

When the professor asked for them to practice the pronunciation without wands, Airen read and re-read his notes. Smiling slightly, he began

"Low-git, Lowgit, Logit," Airen said. Each time building up to the proper pronunciation.

Post by Parker Emery Wed Jan 25, 2012 10:03 am

When Pxyis told him that she had to unlock the door to enter and Haley chiming in about it as well, he rose his eye brows a bit. "That's ...odd." He couldn't deny there was something very dangerous about the man which made Parker feel a bit at ill ease.

He looked up, when the prof. stood up, listening curiously when he changed his voice. Low-git. Parker was determined to get this right. He repeated "Logit" three times just as the prof. had pronounced it.

Haley smiled at Parker. "Yeah," she said.

She could feel his discomfort, as it was the same as her own. She then smiled to Humphrey as he replied to her question.

"Low-git, Logit, Low-git, Logit," Haley went on saying to herself.

Haley smiled at him, and warmth blossomed in his chest. Wait a sec, I like Charlotte, not Haley. Where the hell did that feeling come from? He searched his heart, and he realized that he now had feelings for both Char and Haley. What a Hassle! "Hey Haley, you have a beautiful smile." he couldn't stop himself from saying. No, no, no, this was so stupid of him to say.

Post by Charlotte Smith Wed Jan 25, 2012 7:14 pm

Charlotte giggled a little and she heard Cobalt's magic impersonate Auntie Briony and Airen, she wanted to learn how to do that, it was so cool! A bit like a parrot when you thought about it.

"Lowgit...Lowgit...Lowgit."

She said with a happy tone, she couldn't wait to try this with her wand in her hand and she looked at Airen sheepishly, Charlotte normally didn't like saying incantations or answers in class in case she got them wrong, so she felt a little silly doing it now.

"Thank you, Humphrey," Haley said, her smile widening.

She didn't put more into the comment. She didn't bother to try to make things more than they were, nor had she any interest in doing so either.

She then kept practicing the spell.
