DETENTION: 1st and 2nd Years

Anne knocked on Professor Dupont's door for her detention, wondering what she would be doing.

Haley felt beyond confused when she arrived at the office of professor Dupont. What on earth had she done wrong...? She then knocked on the door, waiting for a reply before she walked inside.

Gaspard had enlarged his office so his students and him could fit, staring at Kart he said, "I expect you to act as the gentleman that Gabriela and I have raised you to be." Kart barked as if saying that he felt insulted by his master, of course he would act as a gentleman. Humans, were so weird sometimes...

He smiled and opened the door, "Good day Miss. Jones and Miss. Smith. Please come in. And I apologize Miss. Smith for not telling you in class, as you didn't come to my first lesson you had detention plus the essay."

"Now if you two are ready, we are going to practice on blocking each other, but this time, you won't be blocking me..." Gaspard smirked.

Haley walked into the room with an 'o' expression. Of course. The first lesson. She then noticed a dog in the corner.

"He's beautiful," she remarked, beaming at the dog. She loved dogs.

Then she turned with a confused look at the professor. "What shall we be doing then?" she asked him curiously.

She knew that she had detention, and she didn't mind it so much. Yes she might end up wasting time here, but it was better than losing points. She smiled at the Professor kindly and sat down, putting her satchel to the side and staring at the outside wondering what she was going to be doing.

Victoria was looking forward to detention, as weird as that was. She figured that detention for Occlumency would be far from just writing lines or cleaning something. As she walked into the professor's office, she just caught the tail end of what he was telling the others.

I guess we're pairing up, then. She thought with a smile. She hoped to be paired with Tess. Not just because they usually worked together, but more so to protect anything she didn't want most people knowing about her. It wasn't as if she had huge dark secrets, but she valued her privacy.

Waiting to be told exactly what they were going to be doing, she took a seat next to Tess.

Tess let out a smile seeing that it was Victoria. That cheered her up a bit at being in detention. She had barely heard the Professor's comment, but seeing that she saw her usual partner there she was happier. She didn't trust many towards her memories, and if she was going to break the wall accidentally she'd trust Victoria to see it and no one else.

"Dibs" she teased grabbing Victoria's wrist.

Xander walked into the professor's office and almost groaned at seeing that it was all girls so far. He thanked Merlin for actually being relatively good at this class.

Taking a seat at the back, so as not to disturb and conversation, he noticed two of the girls were Tess and Victoria. Wonder how they got detention!

Thinking back on their flying escapades, he started zoning while waiting for detention to begin.

Anne turned to The hufflepuff girl and tried to empty her emoitions, it was more dificult than before. "Whenever you're ready." she told the girl.

Haley frowned. Was she gonna use occlumency on her? She looked at the professor and then back at the Gryffindor. Haley nodded.

"Legilimens," she said, pointing her wand at the girl.

It was nothing. Not for a while. Haley pressed more, trying as hard as she could to see the girl's mind.

Gaspard smiled at Miss. Smith's comment, Kart was beautiful but as well annoying.

He payed close attention to Miss. Jones and Miss. Smith.

Then he turned around, "Miss. McCartney you can go with Miss. Rossmund. Mr. Clarke would you like to wait or would you like to block me?"

Anne managed to block the girl comletly. it was difacult but she managed it.

Haley smiled when she let the spell go.

"Well done," she said, and then added a: "My name is Haley, and you?" under her breath, so she wouldn't have to call the girl for 'the girl' in her mind.

Anne smiled at Haley "I'm Anne, you ready its my turn." she pulled out her wand and pointed it at Haley

"Legilimens"

Haley quickly cleared her head and found that it was easier to fight off Anne than the professor. Of course, that was not really a surprise. She kept her head cool and didn't let the spell take control of her mind. She felt the pressure, for sure, but she managed to sustain her head blank. She fought back the spell.

Anne tried to push farther but she contiuned to block her. She stoped, "Good job." she smiled at her. She looked at the professor wondering if they had to continue.

Tess' eyes trailed away from Victoria to Xander who was there. She flashed him a small smile and got up knowing that it was Victoria and her turn. Turning to the professor, she spoke up.

"If my partner wouldn't mind, after we try it out, perhaps I can help Mr. Clarke as well?" she asked.

She did this not only to help her...friend? Yes friend, but also because she wanted to see a glimpse of him, perhaps something he didn't show her too often.

"Would you like to start?" she asked Victoria.
