A Home Away from Home (Jaycie, Caelum and Alcyone)

Jay lay on her bed, flipping through a scrapbook her mum had piled together over the years full of moving photos of her family - including when her dad was still here. A small smile tugged at her lips as she saw one of a few years ago from Jenna's first birthday. Everyone looked so happy.

There was a knock at the front door downstairs. Glancing up, Jaycie quickly shut the big book and hurried down to answer it. Jay skipped down two steps at a time, and flew over the last three. Alcy and Cae were supposed to be coming over today.

Jaycie unbolted the door and swung it open, a big smile gracing her face as she saw who stood on the other side of the threshold.

It was risky business, escaping for the day, Alcyone thought sarcastically to herself as she drew her hood up to cover her face and tightened the cloak around her. Caelum was similarly dressed. Honestly, Alcyone was often surprised at how easily her and her siblings were able to escape the house, and they wouldn't even receive punishment. So long as they weren't meant to be training, and they weren't today.

She frowned as Capella emerged from her bedroom in a cute, bright pink dress and ballet flats - clips in her hair and it was perfectly curled. The plus side of their training meant their skills were far beyond what they should be, though Alcyone didn't boast nor show it in class. She quickly wrapped up Capella in a cloak and pulled the hood up, much to her process. "Shut up," Alcyone hissed harshly to Capella, no regret on her features at her harshness. Despite the fact that they could easily slip away, Alcyone still didn't want to run into her parents whilst doing it.

She grabbed her siblings and dragged them along at a rushed walk, bringing them outside and all the way to Jay's house. She knocked on the door, and once it was opened she pulled down her hood and watched as Ella and Cae did the same. Cae looked gob-smacked again as he looked at Jaycie, and a light blush was on his cheeks. "Hey, Jay!" She greeted her best friend.
