This is the German house of pain, it was founded by one of the many old torture masters that came out of Germany in the 1400's, the founder was named Vikticus Steinergraft, some people believe that it was he that started the work on the creation of the Cruciatus curse that gave the house his very own name. Mascot is the hammer.

This is the German house of fear, it was founded, oddly enough, by the only woman founder in the history of Durmstrang, and, it was given its name because the founder, Cassendre Bernenstein, was reputed for her feirce nature in battle and also for beginning thw work on a charm with the effect of Medusa's stare, which have now been lost. Mascot is the poison.

This is the German house of intellect, the founder, Tillich Neinder was one of the promenant philosophers of the day, and agreed to help found the Durmstrang Institute on one condition, that he got to be the blue house, the reasons for this are unknown, but it is believed he was the basis of the structure to the German Ministry. Mascot is the Dagger.

This is the German house of cunning, the founder, was never known as he signed all of his supposed documents unknown, obviously this is the reason why he was so evasive and managed to become the head of Geschick house, however there was a speculation that he was related to the wizarding family Larsen. Mascot is the throwing stars.
