Lunch time (Open)

Joshua sat at the Ravenclaw table eating his lunch, well not much as eating
so much as sitting at the table waiting for Winston his Owl to bring his
newspaper. "Arg where are you?" Joshua asked

A grinning Frank walked into the Great Hall. Time for lunch! Sweet hallelujah!

Scanning the Hall, he noticed Joshua sitting at the Ravenclaw table. Seeing as Frank still didn't know that many people, he walked up behind Joshua.

Just as he was about to sit down, Frank heard Joshua grumble, "Arg where are you?"

Grinning, Frank slid down into the empty seat next to Joshua. Trying to keep his voice serious, Frank spoke, "I'm right here next to you man. Seriously, you going blind or something?"

"Wha-Oh hi Frank, not you sorry my owl everyone else has there mail
But my owl has decided to be late, which doesn't happen very often."
Joshua explained.

Grinning at Joshua's surprise, Frank pulled some bacon and scrambled eggs onto his plate, followed by two slices of brown bread, some cheese, a few leaves of lettuce and some cornflakes.

Looking around and up in the sky, Frank noticed that Joshua did indeed appear to have a missing owl.

"Meh. Probably just flew into a window or something. He'll show up. Or he's chasing a pretty lady or something. You expecting mail or just the newspaper?"

Biting into his bacon, Frank moaned. Delicious!

"You had lunch yet?"

"Yeah I had lunch, and i'm only expecting the paper..." Joshua said
still looking up
"Not like him to fly into a window...Maybe he forgot where the great hall is
or he's circling the lake again either way He'll get here soon...I hope."
Joshua said as a Ravenclaw it was his job to learn as much as he could
including the habit's of his owl.

Looking up as well, Frank still didn't spot any late owls. Shrugging, he turned to his lunch again, digging in with fervor, he only barely held onto his manners.

Frank grinned when Joshua said it wasn't like his owl to fly into a window.

"Well, the lake is rather nice. So can you really blame him? Anyways, how are you doing? I forgot to ask earlier."

Frank beamed when he saw some more bacon appear on a scale in the center of the table. Stretching out, he took two more pieces.

"Ah... The delicous marvel we call bacon."

"No I can't blame him i like going out to the lake too there's a nice tree by the lake, I'm doing okay thank's for asking." Joshua said looking down
before his eye's widened "How much Bacon have you had?!" Looking at the half empty plate of of bacon in the middle of the table his left eye twitching some other Ravenclaw's looked over and "Shh'ed" him.

Frank smiled happily when Joshua admitted that the lake was awesome.

"Really? That one on the far side? Huh, never paid much attention to it. I mean, I know it's there, but never thought much of it."

Hearing Joshua ask him how much bacon he had had, in a rather loud tone, Frank thought for a second, suppressing a gniffle when he heard some other Ravenclaws sushing Joshua.

"Uh... One...Seven...Eleven...Not enough!" Taking some more bacon from the dish in the middle of the table, Frank smiled as he started chomping down on it.

"Ah. D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S." Frank spelled, punctuating each letter with a bite of bacon."

"I.Can.Never.Unsee.What.You.Just.Did." Joshua said in shock some Ravenclaw's still looking at him. However then a Black owl flew in and landed in front of him a Newspaper in it's beak
"Ah there you are Winston! Where have you been?" Joshua asked
however then he noticed something a few of it's feather's were ruffled and
it seemed kind of disoriented then Joshua figured out what happened
Winston had flown into a window.

Frank grinned at the challenge Joshua had unwittingly given him.

"You can't unsee that huh? I was planning on practicing memory charms... Do you volunteer?" Frank asked in a cheeky tone.

Seeing a Black owl land in front of Joshua, Frank deducted this was Winston. This was immediately confirmed by Joshua who happily asked the owl where it had been.

When Frank noticed that Joshua was examining his owl closely, Frank took a better look as wel.

The owl looked dizzy and it was a bit ruffled... Huh.

"Huh. I might have to see about taking up divination after all. What are the odds of that?" Frank grinned confusedly.

"You want to see fortune telling Winston may I have that newspaper?
Thank you let's see fortune...fortune here we go
"Your owl will fly into a window and be half an hour late"...Wish I had this Half an Hour ago." Joshua said reading his fortune for today not that he believed in that stuff He looked over the paper to see Winston eating a piece of bacon "...Oh what the heck." Joshua said taking a piece of bacon himself.

"Huh. That's weird. They actually got it right today? Seriously, that's a first."

Seeing both Joshua and Winston eating bacon, Frank beamed. Spotting the dish in the middle of the table, he frowned when he saw it was empty...

"Might we have some more bacon please? And a bottle of coca-cola as well?" Frank asked the table. He knew this probably looked weird, but the House elves told him that's the way it worked.

Frank beamed when a fresh dish appeared and a bottle of coke showed up as well.

Taking an extra piece of bacon, and filling up a glass of cola, Frank grinned at Joshua.

"Now this is the good life, isn't it Joshie my boy?"

"Yeah,The only thing that could make it better is if I could summon a comet
to strike down the Slytherin's you know evil one's not the good one's.
Or I could get my patronus down...Every time i summon it, I fail in someway
wanna see?" Joshua asked.

Frank grinned enthusiastically.

"Yeah! Summoning a comet would be even cooler, but hey, a Patronus is cool to see as well. Then again, it is very advanced magic so don't beat yourself up. But hey, the secret is a happy thought, right? How about bacon? That's a happy thought. You should try that!" Frank spoke happily. Bacon always did get him pumped.

"All right then..." Joshua said pulling out his wand
"Expecto Patronum!" Joshua called out the tip of his wand began to glow
white like Lumos put then,light shot out and hit the table the a glowing
stag beetle stood where the light hit the table "Aha I think I got it!" Joshua
said before being hit in the back of the head by a book "I said shut it!"
A girl Ravenclaw yelled. Then Winston promptly leaned over and ate the patronus Joshua Jaw dropped 'How-but-you-can't..." Joshua just
face palmed.

Frank just looked at Joshua incredulously.

"Dude... Did you get dropped on the head when you were a kid or something? I mean seriously. You're FUBAR in the head mate."

Refocusing on his cola, Frank beamed. Taking a long sip, he then let out a huge belch. Dodging the thrown book from the girl who had hit Joshua earlier, Frank grinned again.

"Always learn from past mistakes. Even if they aren't your own!"

"Sure Laugh it up next time Melody get's pissed don't hide behind me I'll
be hiding behind Winston who it turn will be hiding behind my Patronus
and my collection of book's." Joshua said jokingly patting Winston on the head.

"Err... How big is your book collection? I don't really trust the Patronus just yet... But seriously, if your book collection is big enough, it can serve as a defensive fort. You're all Ravenclaws right? You wouldn't hurt books! Right?" Frank joked, before taking a final piece of bacon.

Slowly starting to nibble on his last piece of bacon, Frank looked anxiously around. Who knew where Veronica and Melody were. Those girls scared the crap out of him. First year or not.

"Eh 400 book's give or take...Oh no Frank Melody and Veronica are behind you!" Joshua said Looking Behind Frank and pointing.

An incredulous Frank gaped at Joshua, "Wait what! 400 books! Forget a fort! I can build a bunker from that!"

Only then did Frank register what Joshua had said.

"HIT THE GROUND!" Frank yelled, before using a spectacular dive to fly across the table and end up all the way under the Hufflepuff one.

"Protego Protego Protego Protego Protego Protego Protego Protego!"

"Pfft you can come out now There gone...HAHA!" Joshua bust into laughter
before he could finish his sentence "I Can't believe you fell for that!"
Joshua laughed dodging a book that flew his way grabbing it "401 now."
Joshua said putting the book in his bag.

Dropping his Protego wall, Frank came out from under the table. Crossing the distance to the Ravenclaw table in a few steps, he whacked Joshua in the head before sitting down in front of him.

"Seriously? You gave me a bloody heart attack! And I don't think that's a very legal way to go about getting more books..."

"Eh she threw it and by the way...OW!" Joshua said Winston had had enough and went back to what Joshua assumed was the lake
"Yeah you better run you Patronus eating parakeet! Fist sign of danger and you're gone!" Joshua called out to Winston.

Frank grinned, "True enough I guess. And well, that serves you right! Your owl does have the right idea though. I'd love to be able to get out of here! It's time for a holiday hot dammit!"

With a lazy grin, Frank leaned back just far enough to dodge a flying book. Throwing it at Joshua, he gave a smug smile.

"Guess that makes 402 then, don't it?"

"Yeah...excuse me a second..." Joshua said grabbing the book and throwing
it at a Slytherin "Take that you green wearing jerk!" Joshua yelled at the Slytherin.
