Gryffindor Girl's Dorm 2 Empty Gryffindor Girl's Dorm 2

Alice was tired from the feast and she was eager to crawl into bed after the long day filled with travel and excitement. She was pleased to find that her suitcase had been brought up to the room along with Nike who was sitting free from his cage and sitting on a post on the far side of the room. He was stretching his wings and clicking happily.

Alice located her suitcase and opened it, rummaging for her sleeping clothes. She pulled forth from the piles of garments a beaten old stuffed cat and held it to her chest. She was fighting tears as homesickness struck her. With a sniff she placed it on the smooth covers of the cold four post bed.

She then was quick to wash her face and change into sleeping clothes. She was exhausted but didn't want to sleep yet. She was eager to meet her roommates for the year. There didn't appear to be too many Gryffindor but she was a terrible estimator and there were a good amount of students.

Katrina Starr seemed to be a nice woman too. Anticipation began to overtake Alice's slight homesickness.

Gryffindor Girl's Dorm 2 Empty Re: Gryffindor Girl's Dorm 2

After a long dinner and what seemed like an even longer climb to the sixth floor, Victoria was ready to pass out. The food had been amazing and she had fallen in love with something called Pumpkin Juice. Its spicy flavor reminded her of Thanksgiving and pumpkin pie.

The pictures on the walls were creeping her out a little. It was like having dozens of TVs on the walls, except the people in them could actually see you and talk to you. The one leading into the Gryffindor common room was especially intimidating. Victoria had always had a love of musical theatre, but had never really liked opera. She was thankful that an older student approached the painting and said the password so she didn't have to speak to the woman.

The common room was warm and inviting. It had a homey feel that she really liked in comparison to her mother's sense of home decor: simplistic and high fashion. She was shown to her dormitory and was surprised to see a girl already dressed for bed. She seemed to have a hint of sadness which made her realize just how far away she was from her family. But she smiled when she saw the battered old cat stuffed animal. She pulled Kai, her tiger kitten, out of her jacket hood and sat on the bed near the one the girl had already claimed.

"Hi! I'm Victoria. What's your name?"
