After Dark (Open to all, pets very very welcome)

Alexander had escaped the foul girl who was not mama and found a comfortable place for himself among some forgotten scrolls. Lying down he waited listening to the world, mama would find him, mama always did no matter how well he hid, or long her was lost. Comforted by these thoughts he closed his eyes and smiled a fiendish smile, he sure did scare the not mama girl. Purring contently to himself it was not long before he drifted off to sleep.

Fish swam in huge undulating schools above him, rivers ran with foamy cream and fields of catnip stretched as far as the eyes could see. Absolutely positive that he was in heaven Alexander delved into everything greedily. The cream was divine and filling, the fish, those wonderful fish, swam right up to him lying down their lives to sate his hunger. He then felt himself grow large like a dog and his heart was elated! He'd always wanted to be a dog, dogs got work, and respect. Yet he wished also to remain his 'purrfect' self and lead a life free of care as he always had, so this metamorphosis was in a word, magnificent! Rolling in and devouring the catnip he entered an ecstasy like bliss. Then he saw it, the most wonderful of wonderful things, the most holy of holy, mama's best Sunday dress just begging to be ripped apart by his exquisite claws. Then, just as his nails bit into the fabric-

A soft yowl escaped the kitten as his head snapped up, a pain in his ear. Running a paw over it several times her looked for the source of such agony. And there it was, a rat fat and huge! Alexander's eyes opened wide and his back went immediately into and intense arch the fur of his entire being bristling sharply. "Go away or I'll kill you!" he hissed hoping to frighten it away, but at half his size there didn't seem to be much chance of that. Alexander gulped, they were everywhere! Nibbling on books and rooting through the trash bins, his heart fluttered. Those damnable humans locked him in a dark room full of an army of rats, never in his life had he been so insulted! Or afraid...

Alex was sneaking into the archives she had forgot to put a scroll up from when she was studying, Alex sighed and looked for the scroll section she walked for what seemed like a long time when she finally saw the scroll section.

Alex grabbed a chair and stood on it as she went to put the scroll back, when she heard purring she frowned and looked toward the purring when she spotted some white and orange she saw it was the cat Agne was looking for. Very quietly, Alex reached over and moved a few scrolls so she could reach the cat, she picked him up quietly and sighed.

Alexander's claws bit into the not mama's arms. He was grateful for the rescue but at the same time felt very slighted. He could have beaten the rats he was sure of it. He purred a short thanks before letting his body go limp. It didn't work, he'd hoped to slide out of her grasp. He kicked out with his hind feet his upper body twisting as he struggled to get away. She wasn't mama, and only mama got to hold him and only when he wanted her to, which was always. After a few seconds of this he began to yowl loudly, he had finally been free of that terribly cramped not home smelling room, been chased in a very undignified manner into this large not home smelling place, and now this not mama was holding him! He just knew was going to die of germs before hunger. In an urgent attempt to flee he bit her hand as hard as he could!

Alex tried to keep from screaming her cat, Snow. Didn't bite her much but this cat for as cute as it looked hurt when he bit and clawed.

" OW!" Alex yelled than the cat yowled and Alex quickly covered his mouth she quickly hid in the section in case the librarian came she sighed and bit her lip this cat wasn't about to let Alex take him to his mama she sighed.

" OUCH!" Alex yelled agian when he bit her she dropped the hand he bit but she still held him in a tight grip she sighed " Look if you want to get back to your mama I suggest you stop bitting and clawing me!" Alex whispered to him.

Alexander was very displeased with the sharp way he was being spoken to and yowled even louder, 'Help, murder, murder!' he cried turning to swipe at her face. It was then that he noticed the blood. He froze in shock, he was bleeding, he blinked and looked at his paw again. He was bleeding! 'HELP!' he meowed at the top of his lungs before hissing to the girl, 'What have you do to me?' having completely forgotten the rat that had bit him as blood from his ear stained his fur. The next moment he was an enraged flurry of claws and teeth hoping to severely hurt the not mama, as soon as real mama found out about this she was sure to do something!

Alex screamed as he scratched her face " Please stop scratching me" Alex said not unkindly when she noticed the rats she gasped and moved out of the scroll section.

Alex looked down at the cat he was bleeding Alex knew the cat wouldn't let her take care of his wound she sighed and looked at him " Look, I will gladly take you to your mama, but will you at least let me look at your bite marks, please?" Alex asked him she didn't want his mama to think she hurt her cat Alex loved cats, she even had one of her own. Alex sighed and looked for a desk to sit in, she grabbed the chair and pulled it over to the desk and she sat down.

Alexander looked at her with wide uncertain eyes as she sat down plopping him of the desk. His tail without a thought to command it curled between his legs every inch of fur standing at attention. 'Please,' he mewed softly. 'Don't hurt me!'

Alex noticed his tail curl up she sighed and started to per him she looked at his ear and she quickly looked for something, anything to get his ear to stop bleeding.

Alex's heart was slowly breaking as he mewoed she couldn't stand it when they did that she sighed and looked she had seen the librarian with an handkerchief she grabbed the cat softly and walked over too the librarians desk and grabbed the handkerchief and she put it over his ear " There that should stop the bleeding for now" Alex said she felt the blood on her face and she didn't think anything of it. Alex grabbed her sleeve and wiped the blood off her face she put him down on the desk softly and she kept the handkerchief over his ear, she glared at the rats and turned back to the cat with much kinder eye's.
