Outstanding View (Charlotte and Shekel) Empty Outstanding View (Charlotte and Shekel)

Shekel knew that he wasn't supposed to be allowed in the grounds of Hogwarts and the wards were supposed to keep him out. But you didn't live to be his age without learning how to bypass certain protections. And since Hogwarts itself was younger than him, he had had a long time to work out how to bypass them. The end result of all those years learning how to bypass the most powerful wards on the planet?

He was stood in the top level of the abandoned tower, looking out the windowless arch out over the castle and it's ground. Although everything here was younger than him by far, he found himself enjoying the peacefulness of the place. It had the same kind of feel to it as stonehenge had when he'd first saw it in the evening.

Charlotte had been on her way to the abandoned tower to finish her picture that she had been painting at night, of course she had to sneak out of the common room and evade detection by the professors, lest she loose housepoints for being caught out of bed when her curfew was supposed to be hours ago.

Opening the door she smiled triumphantly before she saw the sillouette of a man in the window and she cursed softly, it was bound to be a professor and now she was going to be punished for being out of bed, but it looked vaugely like Uncle Rich, so maybe he would let her off with a detention alone?

Carefully she tried to back out of the room without being noticed and she was managing well until she stepped on a creaky floorboard.

Shekel had been aware of the small person making their way up to his perch since they had entered the tower but had chosen not to react. When he sniffed as they entered he caught a familiar scent. It was the scent of the girl from the arena before. He smirked silently. More fun for him tonight!

Hearing her trying to back away again, he grinned and decided to repeat what he'd done when they'd first met. He flitted across the room, standing in front of the stairs to block her exit,

"We really must stop meeting like this Miss Smith." he whispered to her, "People will think you just want to get me alone."

Charlotte jumped and tried to stifle a small squeak when she turned and walked abruptly into someone's chest, and she looked up into the person's features and saw the vampire from the arena, blinking a little bit Charlotte stepped away from him and tilted her head to one side, what was he doing here?

"Maybe you shouldn't have snuck into Hogwarts if you didn't want people to think that, besides, there's nobody here." she shrugged lightly, before making her way back into the tower, her backack slung over her shoulder containing the things she needed to paint.

Looking back at Shekel she hummed a little bit before asking;

"What are you here for anyway? Did you have a meeting with Briony or something?" otherwise, there would be no logical reason how or why the vampire would be here...

The little squeak made him chuckle a little bit. Could she try any harder to be the perfect little prey? She was lucky that he had no intention of feeding on her. She was way too much trouble to be worth it. Cobalt Smith, Cobie Smith and even, perhaps, Lady Midday. No matter how sweet she would taste, she wasn't worth it,

"Sneaking implies that there was something trying to keep me out." he countered with a small smirk, "I just walked in."

He raised an eyebrow,

"The insect with the child? No I have never met her." he told her with a small shrug, "I came here for the view. As an artist you can appreciate this right?"

Charlotte raised her eyebrow when Shekel told her that he had simply walked into the building, she doubted this but didn't tell him that after all he might be offended or something that she was doubting his all powerful vampire skills or what not. Although it did make her wonder...

Just how safe was Hogwarts from creatures, if what he said was true?

"The insect?" she blinked "Thats not very nice, you shouldn't call her that, or anybody, everyone's important not everyone can be as old as you are, but they're all equally as important." Charlotte protested.

Smiling lightly Charlotte stepped towards the open balcony and sighed deeply, inhaling the air; "Oh yes, the view is beautiful here, especially at night time."
