Faerie Lights (OPEN)

Othala walked around the castle, more like skipped, she was happy to be here and the nice man Florence was so nice to her, she wanted to make sure that she did the best that she could in order to make him proud of her, so she had decided to go to the common room place he had told her about to make friends.

Holding her book in her hand, she sat down by the fire and opened it, beginning to look at the words with a frown on her face as she tried to concentrate on what she was supposed to be reading;

"The...c-c-cat...saaaaaat..." she began, before frowning and throwing the book away in a tantrum, instead pressing her fingertip and allowing some of her special shinies to come out and she ran around the common room trying to catch them, something that she loved to do, it was so fun!, she just hoped that she wouldn't get caught by anyone in here, she might get in trouble for running in the library...but she didn't even think that Durmstrang had a librarian to catch her!

The corner of Aberle's lips tilted upwards in a smile as he watched the young girl struggling to concentrate on the book, speaking the words in broken, fractured german. He'd heard that new girl had come to Durmstrang - one who struggled with their language and was less educated than she should be for a girl her age.

He almost jumped as she threw the book away and instead of moving out of his hiding place where he was leant against the wall, watching her curiously, he decided to stand still. He didn't fancy being beaten up by a grumpy girl.

Sparkles of light drifted out of the girl and he watched as she ran around chasing them, a chuckle escaping him before he could stop it. She was quite pretty, he noticed, long dark locks of rich brown hair with eyes that were full of joy and her skin so pale and fair. One of the sparkles of light drifted towards him and he captured it between his fingers, watching as it vanished.

Othala tilted her head to one side when she thought that she heard something she didn't know if it was actually someone there or if it was just her mind playing tricks on her, it did that a lot, especially when she wasn't concentrating on something. Shrugging it off for now she continued to hop around the library after her lights.

When she saw one going behind another bookcase she went after it and almost barelled into another person who had caught her light instead, although she wanted to pout, after all it was her light to catch, she didnt and she merely looked at the person, who she now saw was a boy.

Now more than a little nervous, Othala played with her hair, she knew that many people knew she wasn't very good with words, so had this boy come here to make fun of her or something?

"Hello..." she spoke softly, trying to only use small words "What you do here?"
