Quidditch Instructions

James was pleased with the amount of students he had signed up. He was put in charge of assuring that each team had the right number of students and he knew that many of the teams had players that had graduated. He should be able to give each student a position.

Now he just needed to make sure that each of the students knew the rules of the game. He brought out the old wooden trunk that held the practice Quaffle, Bludgers, and Snitch. With a sigh he sat down in the midst of the Quidditch pitch atop the trunk and waited patiently for his prospective players to arrive.

Alice came jogging up to the Quidditch pitch, looking strangely to the large rings that were high above the stadium seats. She had no idea how she was going to ever become a successful Quidditch player as she was so new to flying and it seemed that all these students already had the capability.

With eagerness she walked up to Pxyis and Professor Weasley, eagerly awaiting the teacher's instructions.

Haley skipped down to the Quidditch pitch with a huge grin on her face. She had sent her owl, Zar, to her parents to tell them how she was admitted to the Hufflepuff team. They had sent a happy reply, and told her that her birthdaypresent was going to be a special one. Haley had smiled at that, already pretty sure what it was going to be.

That's when Haley could see three people in the middle of the field. She grinned and quickened her pace. She then stopped in front of them, beaming.

"Yo," she said to professor Weasley, Pxyis and Alice, and sat down on the grass.

She didn't have a broom, since, well, she didn't have a broom. But she supposed it wouldn't be too hard to find one, should they fly. Haley looked at the different equipment. Really, Haley knew a lot about Quidditch, loving the sport over everything. But she turned an attentive ear to what the professor would tell them when the rest showed up.

She had signed up. Her parent's reaction were mixed. Her mother immediately worried over the fact that she could possibly get hurt, but her father, he simply patted her head and smiled brightly.

"You'll be great Tess Marie" she remembered him saying.

She sighed but walked towards the pitch. Her excitement was rising, that was true, but she wondered if she'd do fine. Nonetheless, she held her Firebolt tight against her side and once she reached the pitch she noticed more students there.

"So...they'll be my competition...fantastic" she said to herself.

Humphrey Williams hurried down to the quidditch pitch. There were already four students ready and waiting to go. Breaking into a sprint, he raced past the stands and was soon standing next to the other students and breathing heavily. He noticed that he was not in as good of shape as he normally was. During basketball season a sprint that far wouldn't have even tired him in the slightest. He made a mental note to start running consistently in his free periods to stay in shape.

There were four girls waiting by Professor Weasley next to a box. Professor Weasley he didn't notice until he drew up next to Alice Lane. The Professor was sitting down on top of a box. He suspected the box contained the different balls that the game used. However, as far as he knew there was only one ball. If there were multiple it would get very complicated very fast. He recognized a fellow gryffindor first year, two slytherins, and a hufflepuff. He decided to stand next to his fellow gryffindor Alice Carroll Lane and when the other girls noticed he was going to stand next to alice. They simply eyed him and then turned back to Professor Weasley, clearly not impressed that he was nearly late...again.

"Did I miss anything important?" humphrey whispered to Alice Carroll Lane.
