The End Of Year Ball!

Sofia looked around her and could not believe this was happening. She hated fighting and the worst part of this is she didn't see this coming. She should have seen something, but now was not the time to start beating herself up over it. She had to save the students.

She just randomly started throwing hexes.."Reducto, Reducto." Until she got over to where Lucia was.

"So Lucia what is the plan, there is one right?" Sofia was beginning to feel disparate, The poor students.

Sofia saw someone coming towards them so she shoot another spell to them. "Stupefy" she yelled.

Lucia shook her head. "If I knew that I should be in a battle, then sure, I'd have a plan. But for now, let's just shoot down these bastards and meanwhile get the students safely over to the trophy room," she said.

An inferi closed in on them, and she pointed at it with her wand. "Confringo," she said, and it burst into flames.

"And we need to get the students into the room, now" Lucia persisted.

Lucia took the chance to look around. She saw some other students hiding behind tables and people were screaming in terror. Lucia ran towards them, shouting spells at the inferi. She then stopped by the students, casting a protection spell around them all.

They made for the door instantly, and Lucia managed to get them inside. She looked at the scared students.

"Everything is going to be fine," she said to them in a soft tone, "Don't worry."

Then she dashed back out, closing the door and adding another protection spell around it. She followed the others and was soon next to the students.

"Come along, girls! I know you might want to fight, but as long as you're underage, it is not for you to decide," Lucia said, not wanting to make them angry, but for them to understand how much stronger these guys were than eleven year old students.

Leshia knew that Professor Slytherin was right and they had no business being there and as soon as Healer Henley came over too she knew their fighting days were over for now.

"Come on Tabi, Pxyis we better listen to Professor Slytherin and Healer Henley, we can't be out here." Leshia pulled on Tabi's arm because she knew she could make her go, but it was up to the teachers to make Pxyis go.

"Healer Henley, where are you wanting us to go?" Leshia asked looking around at all the action going on around them.

Lucia nodded as Leisha turned to her.

"Go to the trophy room. I cast a protection spell at it, but it should not keep you out. Get there quickly," Lucia instructed silently, making sure than no one except the students could hear her.

She then turned to ms. Wilson. "You need to go as well, miss Wilson. We can take care of this. Trust us," Lucia said calmly.

She then drew another protection charm again to follow the Prewett girls to the trophy room, and another to protect Wilson while she made up her mind.

Leshia had grabbed a hold of Tabi and was pulling her towards the trophy room. Tabi didn't want to leave Pxyis, they may not have been getting along but she didn't want to see anything happen.

Tabi could not help but feel guilty if something had happened to Pxyis and she never got to apologize to her.

"Pxyis please come, I am really sorry for everything, come on, I can't make it up to you if your not here." Tabi kept yelling please all the way to the trophy room.

Everyone once in awhile she heard her sister yell a spell but she was too worried about Pxyis..

Lucia kept her eyes on the Prewett sisters all the way until they were inside the trophy room. Then she turned to miss Wilson. She didn't say anything to the girl, because just then a bunch of inferi charged at them. "Jaqui! Sofia! Be ready!" she yelled.

Then she summoned forth a firestorm, keeping the inferi away. But she couldn't do so forever. It wasn't taking much energy, but she couldn't see through the fire, and spells could easily pass them. Lucia cursed inwardly. She didn't want it to come to a battle using fiend-fyre. But she knew that there was a possibility that she had to conjure it. Lucia could control it, all right, but she didn't want to have to. Because those flames did take their toll.

Lucia looked at miss Wilson. "We need to get you to the trophy room, all right?" she asked.

Then she let the firestorm drop. The inferi had gone further away, but they were coming back soon enough.

Lucia growled. "Dammit," she muttered and then figured she needed to blast them into pieces to get them to stop.

"Expulsio!" she shouted and some of the inferi blasted.

Haley heard loud bangs and noises coming from the Great Hall. She smiled. Seriously, was the band really that crazy? She then made her way to the door. But then a shriek and cries of horror penetrated her hearing. Haley immediately felt horrorstricken. What was going on?!

Haley peaked out from the girls lavatory, seeing that no one was around there. Then she made her way to the entrance hall. The sounds of screams and spells were clear now, and Haley knew that something was seriously wrong. She wondered if she should walk into the great hall at all, or if she should stay the heck away.

But her curiosity won and she stuck her head in. The first thing she saw was spells cast everywhere. Then she saw the headmistress and a guy she had no idea of who was fighting like mad. And then she saw people walking in a slunched way, like if they were to tired to do anything. But it was too much of tiredness. They seemed almost ... dead. Inferi. The thought screamed in Haley's mind. Her breathing became heavier and she wanted to scream.

Haley suddenly realized that her shock had made her walk into the Great Hall. She swallowed. And then a creature came walking towards her. One of the inferi.

She screamed, but barely managed to shout: "Colloshoo!"

The inferi stopped. It couldn't move. She had glued his feet to the ground. Then she looked around in horror. She needed help. Where was the other students? Then a storm of fire petrouded her gaze. Inferi were kept back. Then the flames vanished. It was madam Henley, professor Slytherin and professor Girard along with Pxyis standing there.

Haley didn't think. She just ran. She shouted the same spell at the inferi coming closer. And she managed to get over to them.

"Help me," she panted, terrified.

Lucia saw miss Smith come running towards them, shooting spells that made the inferi stop. She wondered what spell it was, when she saw that the inferi couldn't even move their feet.

"Help me." Miss Smith sounded terrified.

Lucia grabbed her arm and pulled her closer. "What spell did you use?" she asked kindly, trying to calm miss Smith down.

Lucia then cast another explosive curse at the inferi coming closer.

"Colleshoo," Haley breathed, taking deeper breaths to steady herself.

"Where are the other students?" Haley then asked, looking around as madam Henley cast explosive hexes at the inferi.

Then Haley frowned. "And what on earth is going on?" she asked, calming down slightly, her adrenaline kicking in.

She cast the colloshoo spell at many more of the inferi before madam Henley replied.

Sofia was just firing spell after spell wishing for the love of the gods they would just stop. Then they had finally gotten the twins away next thing she knew Ms Smith was with them asking for help.

"Oh my Ms. Smith where are earth did you come fron"

Sofia said in between blasts of reducto and compluso.

"We need you to get to the trophy room" sofia said as she shot a stupifey.

"NOW"

Lucia nodded seriously. "Your fellow students are in the trophy room. And as for what is going on, we will tell you when we're sure, but it is definitely an attack from Germany. Now, let's listen to Sofia here, and get you to the trophy room," she said seriously.

Then she turned to Sofia. "Will you take her to the room?" she asked her.

Lucia felt like she needed to stay in case something went awfully wrong and someone needed to be treated instantly. Not that the walk to the trophy room was that long.

Haley understood. She needed to get to the trophy room. But she didn't dare go alone. She hoped one of them would follow her, and she was assured when madam Henley asked if professor Slytherin could. Haley was happy about that; she liked professor Slytherin. She felt safe around her.

"I was in the bathroom," Haley then said, replying to professor Slytherin's question.

From drama to action. And when Haley looked at the headmistress fighting, she knew she'd prefer the drama anyday.

Sofia was so wrapped up in the moment she had not seen the spell that Ms. Smith had used until Lucia asked her what spell that was. It was a very interesting spell and she would have to learn it.

Lucia had asked her to get Ms. Smith to the trophy room and Sofia knew that is what she needed to do.

"Come on Ms. Smith let's go." Sofia grabbed her arm and pulled her along to the room.

When Sofia got her to the room you pulled her inside and noticed all the scared children and wanted to comfort them.

"It will all turn out for the best children, no worries"

Sofia closed back up the door and wanted to stand guard outside of it.

Lucia warded off some inferi again. Why couldn't they just stop coming? She had taken a liking to the spell 'colloshoo', though, as it was very effectively keeping the inferi away. She looked around, keeping an eye on the battle between Briony and the head of Durmstrang.

But her focus was mostly around miss Wilson and Jaqui at the moment, as well as every other student that were in the room. She wanted to make sure nothing happened to them. She needed to protect them. She made another firestorm, giving her a few moments before the inferi decided to keep coming and destroying them.

She then blasted a few more, wanting them gone.

All the happiness around her disappeared the moment the loud booming was heard. Soon the music became mute in her ears and everyone's movements slowed down as she saw the battle before them. 

They wanted the Headmistress. She understood why as well. She was the representation of Good Magic and the power of Hogwarts. How could they have gotten in?!? She had read that there was a veil protecting them from harm, and yet they were here. 

Part of he wanted to run. And the other.....

"Merlin." she murmured

The other part of her wanted to fight. She wanted to defend her new home. She pulled Victoria under the table and she slipped her wand out of her bosom. She ripped a slit on the side of her mermaid dress and popped head up, wand at hand and was ready. While there was a chance she would die, she didn't want to die as a coward.

Lucia's eyes suddenly landed on miss McCartney. Was she still out here? She had her wand at the ready and a determined look on her face, just like miss Wilson. Lucia instantly knew that miss McCartney had no interest in not fighting. But Lucia be damned if she had to fight alone.

Lucia looked at Jaqui, nodding at her, knowing the woman could fend for herself and miss Wilson for a small amount of time. She then rushed over to miss McCartney.

"Will I be able to persuade you to go to the trophy room?" Lucia asked her calmly upon reaching her.

She fended off some of the inferi coming at them.

Sofia was looking around sending spells from where she was standing off to the side out of view then all of a sudden she noticed two more students hiding under the table.

Just as she was about to yell at Lucia and Jaqui she noticed that Lucia was already on her way over there to where the girls were at.

Sofia fired another firestorm towards the approaching inferi. "Why won't they just stop" Sofia thought to herself.

It was at this point that she saw the Headmistress fighting the man who seemed to be leading the other team. She knew she wanted to help but knew her first priority was to the students.

Humphrey hid under the table with Victoria and Tess. He cast the occasional spell, but was really scared. He knew he shouldn't be scared but he was. Not very like a Gryffindor, but he wanted to stay alive. He saw a student from Durmstrang aiming at Victoria Rossmund. His Gryffindor friend that was his second friend that he made. "Oh, no you don't. Expelliarmus!" he said.

Charlotte saw most of the students being taken into the trophy room, the place that she had just come from and she felt a pull on her magical core, she knew that her double was going in that direction too, so at least one of her would be there.

Staying beside Pyxis she waited for Viktor to do something, the fight between the Highmaster and Headmistress really was spectacular.

With gritted teeth Charlotte felt her wand hand steady as the wizard didn't seem to do anything hopefully her father would attempt to come and save them sometime soon, after all she couldn't see him fighting anyone.

Humphrey remained hiding and saw Haley enter the Great Hall. Lucia Henley led her over to them under the table. She told them to go to the trophy room, and for once in his life, Humphrey obeyed a teacher without any questions.

Lucia saw Mr. Williams being thrown into the ground, but though it had seemed like the blow came from the headmaster from Durmstrang, it was clear to an experienced eye that the cruciatus curse had come from a person standing in the far end of the hall. Lucia growled, but would deal with the man who had done this to a student later. As for now, she needed to heal someone.

"Get yourselves over to Sofia now!" Lucia yelled at miss McCartney and miss Rossmund with a voice that would hopefully make them go.

Then Lucia raced over to Mr. Williams. The blood was gushing from his wound, but Lucia saw that even though the wounds were deep, it would be no problem for her to fix it. She pointed over herself and said "Protego totalum". A small bubble laid itself around her and Mr. Williams before vanishing from sight.

Then she looked at the wound. "Vulnera Sanentur," she said and repeated it two more times to give the spell the appropriate strength and power.

The wound was slowly healing up, but there was no way that Mr. Williams could fight more today. Actually, what Lucia really wanted to do was to get him up to the infirmary at once, but she had a feeling that this battle would rage on a bit longer. And if it did, she needed to be sure he was close so she could help both him and the other teachers or students if something should happen.

So she lifted Humphrey up in her arms. He seemed to be sleeping, and she hoped he would stay sleeping. Actually, she was going to make sure he would be sleeping. She got into the trophy room, and some of the students gasped as they saw a person lying knocked out in Lucia's arms. But she smiled reassuringly.

Then she put him down on the table. She pointed her wand at him and put a sleeping jinx on him, making sure he wouldn't wake in the midst of battle, this because she knew he was a daredevil and that he would probably try to come storming back into the battle.

"Should he wake," Lucia said, and turned to some of the students, "Make sure he doesn't leave this room. He needs to heal."

Then she turned on her heel and left the room. She felt renewed with strength after healing Mr. Williams, and blew off twenty inferi at the same time. She grinned wickedly. Oh yeah, now the battle could bring it on. She knew she would stand through as best as she could.
