Meeting One: The Glamour Charm Empty Meeting One: The Glamour Charm

Post by Guest Tue Feb 21, 2012 7:52 am

Salina made her way, like last year, through the corridors with stealth. She had been looking forward to this meeting all week, and had been studying the Glamour Charm extra hard so she could teach it to the others. Not that Charlotte would really need it, but it was still useful to know, as Charlotte could cast it on someone else.

She muttered the words to the wall, a thril creeping down her spine as it slid open and she walked down the hidden corridor to the Shadow Society meetings room. Once inside, she left the door open and took a seat at the desk at the front of the table. She placed her bag up on the table and emptied it of its contents, before setting it all up how she wanted it.

Salina pushed her bag onto the floor and dipped her quill into the ink, before moving it to the parchment and scribbling down, 'Meeting One: The Glamour Charm'. She placed her quill back in the ink pot and opened up her notebook so she could skim over what she had written previously.

Meeting One: The Glamour Charm Empty Re: Meeting One: The Glamour Charm

Airen made his way to the meeting with relative ease. He made absolute sure he wasn't being followed as he'd often stop and look around at each corner of hallways. When he got the the room, he sat down within two chairs from Salina.

"Salve, (hello) Salina," Airen greeted. He hadn't seen her much since the ball. He knew that her twin was in a coma, and he wished that he could help, but sadly, he didn't know what to do. Airen leaned back in his chair. His left hand fiddled with the hilt of his sword. He'd learned a few new Swordmage spells over the summer, but he hadn't had a chance to try them. He made a note to let his pupils know when the next meeting was.

Meeting One: The Glamour Charm Empty Re: Meeting One: The Glamour Charm

Pxyis walked along the corridors at a relaxed pace, her book of charms tucked under her arm. She had been reading up on diguising oneself, and had read that to really blend in, you must act as if you belong. Sneaking around and jumping only made you more obvious. If you were just another student wandering along with their book, you were less noticeable.

She entered the Shadow Society meeting room and saw that both Salina and Airen were already there. Of course, Salina would be the first there as she was their student leader. "Hey, what are we learning today?" Pxyis asked as she entered the room and took a seat next to the empty one beside Airen. She knew that Char would want to sit next to him, and frankly she was glad Char liked Airen instead of that Humphrey fellow.

Leshia was glad she finally got to attend one of these meeting she was excited to get started. There were many things that she could learn from her fellow friends. Walking down the hall carrying a book she had in her room he went to the place she was suppose to go.

Walking into the room she saw Salina was already there, along with Airen, and Pxyis were already there. She decides to take a seat at a spot behind those one.

"Hey everyone what are we going to do today?"

Charlotte hurried down the same passageway that she had gone down for the first meeting and remembered what she needed to say in order to get into the room successfully.

Smiling as she opened the door, Charlotte thought that this time the meeting would be even better because they would actually be doing something in terms of learning instead of introducing each other.

Upon entering she saw most people were already there and she gave a slightly shy smile, a small wave and went to sit down next to Airen.

Meeting One: The Glamour Charm Empty Re: Meeting One: The Glamour Charm

Salina was pleased to see that moslty everyone had arrived. A seat remained vacant, and her heart ached at who should've been there. A frown briefly marred her features, but it faded away rather quickly and was replaced why an easy going smile as Salina picked up her notes and moved around to lean on the front of the desk.

"H-ey," Salina focused on the 'H' as she spoke. She had been trying to improve on her english accent. "'ow were all of your h-olidays? I 'ope zey were good," Salina couldn't focus on pronouncing 'H's all the time, she had better things to do for the moment. "So, for zis lesson, I was 'oping to learn ze Glamour Charm. I 'ave used it a few times before at my pre-Beauxbaton's school, Uresla, and I thought zat I would teach it to you all. Char, I know zat zis won't be very useful to you, but it could be useful for others if you know eet. You can perform zis spell on other people, so eef ever you need to protect someone you can quickly charm zem. It's a useful spell to know, anyway," Salina wanted to get through this lesson quickly, so she regarded her notes before continuing.

Salina retrieved her wand from her robes and held it out in front of her, pleased to see her hand did not shake as it normally did when she was nervous. "Ze incantation, ees 'Mutari'. Moo-ta-ri," she pronounced slowly so that they could hear exactly how to pronounce it. "Like so," Salina pointed her wand at her face and focused hard on the image in her mind. Her face scrunched up in concentration as she pictured herself with bright, glowing red eyes, pale skin free of freckles and golden curls. "Mutari." She twirled her wand clockwise, then flicked it downwards once and was pleased when a trail of silver sparks left it and swirled around her face for a second before vanishing and she appeared with the image she had in mind.

"You must focus your being on ze image you 'ave of yourself in mind, zen one turn clockwise and a downwards flick should do it. Your turn. Oh, and ze counter-spell ees Mutatae Nemo. Moo-tay-tay, Ney-mo. Zis is down with a counter clockwise turn and a flick upwards." Salina did so, and she returned to her normal appearance, pleased with her success.

Charlotte smiled softly and nodded her head, deciding like so many times this year she would just remain silent, she needed to speak to do the spell however, but she would stay quiet so she wouldn't interrupt anybody while they were talking.

Taking out her wand after she had watched Salina's demonstration, Charlotte decides that she might as well practice on herself because she didn't want to inconvenience anybody with asking to borrow them while they were practicing themselves.

Visualising her appearance in her mind, Charlotte turned her hair Brown in her mind, and with this image in her mind she tried a simple transformation first:

"Mutari." there were no sparks just yet and Charlitte furrowed her brow, making sure she pronounced it correctly she tried it again "Mutari." and she smiled when her hair turned brown. Changing things about herself was easy for her, other spells or harder transformations would probably take her much longer.

Leshia listened to how this spell was performed and she got to working on it. She loved the fact that they were learning this spell. With this spell and her time-turner she had received over the summer she could have a powerful weapon to help spy on things.

Leshia focused her energy on what she wanted to become

"Mutari" she thought and then her hair turned the shade of red and her eyes turned green.

It was actually easier than she thought it was going to be. But then she was pretty good at charms.

She was watching Charlotte work the spell on her and noticed that she went from blonde to brown.

"Nice color on you Charlotte." it was really weird seeing the blond girl she knew not be blonde anymore.

Airen nodded his head in response to Salina's inquiry about the group's summer. He noticed that Charlotte seemed quieter than normal. He felt bad for not talking to her much. He decided to remedy that later.

Listening to Salina's instructions, Airen pulled out his wand. He pictured himself with storm gray eyes, shoulder length blonde hair, and flawless skin.

He spun his wand in a clockwise direction and flicked it downward.

"Mutari," he said firmly. Silver sparks wrapped around his face. When they faded, he found himself with the same face as he pictured. He looked over at Charlotte and saw her brown hair. He smiled at her.

Haley rushed through the corridors and hurried along them, reaching the secret room. She burst through the doors and stopped instantly when she saw that they seemed to have begun the meeting already.

"I'm so sorry for being late," Haley said to Salina, hoping she wouldn't be annoyed.

Haley walked over to Leisha and gave her a small smile, not feeling very comfortable quite yet.

Meeting One: The Glamour Charm Empty Re: Meeting One: The Glamour Charm

Pxyis smiled warmly at Charlotte, making a mental note to ask her if she wanted to hang out sometime. She knew that Char was slightly mad at her for ignoring her for the past few weeks, and it made Pxyis feel like a bad friend. Scratch that, I am a bad friend, she thought to herself sadly, but she picked right up as Salina began the meeting.

Pxyis was delighted to discover it was on Glamour Charms, as she had been practicing them in the common room. They were rather easy, and incredibly useful to use. As Salina demonstrated, Pxyis almost laughed at the vivid red of her eyes, but almost cringed to. It was eerily beautiful, and she noted that it wasn't the same red as Char's eyes at all.

She retrieved her wand and let her eyes fall shut as she firmly planted a picture of her in her mind. Her skin was tanner, her nose was smaller, her eyes had thick lashes, the iris was bright, hot pink and her hair was short, spiky and water-y dark purple. She twirled her wand clockwise then flicked downwards and felt a tingling sensation around her face as she focused her energy on the spell. With a smile, she opened her eyes and placed a hand on her hair, trailing her fingers down until she met the end, where it stopped a lot earlier then it should have. She pulled a lock of hair in front of her eyes and grinned as she was successful.

Charlotte smiled lightly when she was complimented on her hair, she focused on her appearance and turned into the vision of what her parents used to want her to look like, long brown hair, green eyes and some small freckles on her face, this is what she was 'supposed' to look like and maybe it was something she should stay like.

"Thank you Leshia, you all look great." she said quietly, playing with her fingers in her lap.

Salina was most pleased with the others results, noting that they each seemed to be mostly succesfull. She clapped her hands together and cleared her throat, waiting until she had each persons attention before she ended the lesson.

"You 'ave all done wonderful! I will see you all next week, oui?" Salina then scribbled down ticks next to everyone's name and left the room after they all had.
