Simmering (Raven and Konig) Empty Simmering (Raven and Konig)

Post by Konig Nickel Fri Jul 27, 2012 2:52 am

Konig woke up with a small yawn and looked around for a few seconds. It was odd to think that he wouldn't have to defend himself from a morning surprise attack by Leopold. Of course he wasn't going to complain, it was his absense that allowed Konig to actually get to sleep instead of having to worry about being killed in his sleep.

Pulling on a pair of jeans and picking up a t-shirt as he went past the drawers, Konig wandered downstairs shirtless for a few moments, checking each room. Seeing that the house appeared to be empty, Konig opened the door down to the cellar and heard something sizzling.

Deciding that Raven must be making some potions, Konig wandered down the stairs,

"Hey Raven." he greeted her as he pulled the shirt on over his head. He kissed her neck from behind and grinned, "Whatcha doing?"

Raven heard someone padding down the stairs into the place where she brewed all her 'questionable' potions, today she was brewing a potion that would burn the skin off the person it came into contact with, as a result she had put protectional charms on herself, but she was also wearing some rather fetching goggles.

Leaning her head onto Konig's shoulder as he approached behind her, Raven kissed him gently on the lips and she tapped the cauldron just as it was about to hit the explosive stage of the cooking stage, luckily for Konig.

"I'm brewing one of my potions, it burns the skin off the person it comes into contact with, so I would stay away from it for the moment." she smirked before twirling away and leaning against the wall, looking at the rack opposite with all of her potions ingredients in.

"I think I'm going to brew another one now, why don't you pick it from "that book, the one with the skull on top, it's still a little slimy, be careful."

Seeing Raven all kitted out was rather strange. She'd always had a rather minimalist approach to protective gear so this must really be something nasty for her to be afraid of it. He kissed her back gently and listened as she explained about the contents of the cauldron. Konig made sure to stay behind Raven for now,

"Well now that sounds like a love potion for enemies." he commented with a smirk, "You have anyone in mind you want to use that on by any chance?"

Having been instructed to pick up the book, Konig gripped the book tightly so that he didn't drop it. He paused and started flicking through the pages,

"What about this one?" he grinned before reading it out, "It says it 'causes the victim's eyes to dissolve into a corrosive acid which eats away at the brain'... sound good?"

Raven smirked lightly and she shook her head, removing the protective charms from around her arms and the goggles from her eyes, throwing them down onto the desk that she kept back here, and when Konig told her that he thought that she had someone in mind while brewing this potion she grinned crookedly.

"Nobody in specific no, just someone in a fight I think, maybe that British Rebel I wasn't quite able to crush last time we fought in the ministry." she grinned, while she tapped the side of the other cauldron she had down here.

When he read to her one of the potions that was in the book, she couldn't help but grin crookedly and she nodded her head, flying over to the wall of ingredients and throwing the jars containing the needed items onto the desk on the other side of the room with ease.

"Good pick, Konig." she purred "You want to brew with me?"

Seeing Raven throwing the protective gear aside... now that sounded more like the Raven he knew. Of course he wasn't about to start wishing that she would touch her terrible potion so the protective gear had been welcomed. He chuckled a little bit, shaking his head,

"You're still upset about not being able to kill him?" he teased her lightly before grinning, "If you are then getting him with that potion will certainly cheer you right up."

Konig could tell that Raven liked the sound of the potion he'd decided upon so he brought the book over to one of the nearby tables. He grinned and nodded,

"I'd love to help you brew Raven." he told her with a smile, "It'll give us chance to talk while we contemplate who to dump this over."

Raven smirked a little bit and she nodded her head, she had gotten more and more annoyed when it had come to that man, and she thought that this potion might actually be best to be saved for the next time they met in battle after all it was something she would enjoy seeing.

"Im not upset just frustrated with myself, maybe my skills are getting a little bit loose, I have not been focusing on them a lot recently, maybe we will have to train up together." she grinned wolfishly.

Looking at the book Raven grinned and she opened up a bottle of base potion before adding it to a stone cold cauldron like it said in the recipie, before she looked over the ingredients again and picked up the asps venom, dropping the whole bottle load into the cauldron and then heating it.

Running her hands through her hair to bring it from in front of her face, Raven pointed at the book;

"What's next?" she inquired "Did you sleep well last night Konig?"

Konig had been a little bit alarmed when Raven had come home one night raving about killing some British squib but it was something she could aim towards. And it involved killing British people and he was all for that,

"Oh I doubt it's your skills getting rusty. He's probably just one of life's slippery guys, the one who always get out of trouble." he grinned right back, "You know I think training with you might be good fun actually. I'm trying to focus on spells that aren't my specialty after all, this could really help me as well."

Seeing that Raven was starting the potion off correctly, Konig selected the next ingredient and diced it up ready for her. It was something called 'blood grass', whatever the hell that was. He handed her the diced, blood red, grass,

"Blood grass, diced. Add slowly to the mixture." he told her before smiling, "Yeah I did actually. It's strange not having to defend from surprise morning attacks and stay awake to avoid night attacks though. Do you miss Leopold?"

Raven grinned wickedly and she nodded her head, she liked the idea of training with Konig the more she thought of it, she would be able to test out her skills as well as getting rough and ready with the man she loved, in a way that wouldn't end in a bed.

"I think that I would like that too, would you be able to teach me some of your specialist spells, I have always admired the way that they can reduce a man to a blithering wreck in seconds." she said, almost breathlessly, remembering one occassion in particular.

Accepting the blood grass Raven let it fall gently into the potion, before waiting and then adding more, steadily turning the potion a red colour with the blood, then she licked her hands clean of the blood that had leaked out of the blades of grass.

"Alright, now I think we wait for a few minutes before adding the next ingredient."

Tapping a timer on the desk, it set for ten minutes and began to count down; "Yes, I miss him, but he was becoming annoying and I do not want to put someone before our relationship, he did almost kill you three times after all. Thats more than enough."

Konig had to admit that he was likely going to have his ass handed to him by Raven but he was okay with that. Of course he was sure that Raven would make it up to him after each ass kicking. He was definately looking forward to the rewards for his efforts,

"I'll be sure to teach you what I know if you teach me some of your fight style too." He grinned sharkishly, "You liked that did you Raven? He did sound so hopeless when he begged for death..."

Watching Raven licking the blood off of her fingers made Konig blink a few times before going back to looking at the book. Was it wrong that Raven could make licking any liquid off her hands sexy? Probably but that was fine by him,

"Yeah it needs to simmer for awhile."

Konig leant against the table as she spoke about Leopold. He couldn't help but agree,

"I'd have said two times was enough to be honest but he wasn't very good at his attempts anyway so that's not a problem." he told her with a smirk before chuckling, "You hear he's with a goody goody now?"

Raven tilted her head to one side, she wondered what Konig wanted to learn from her, but she would be more than happy to teach him whatever it was, as long as it was something that she could teach him in the first place, not something that she was born with and he could never possess.

"What do you want to learn Konig? If I can teach it to you then we have a deal, but you're right, he did sound so pathetic, but you sounded, and looked, so powerful in comparison. That's what I like." she asked with interest as she peered into the jars lined up on the desk, making a note to get more of this blood grass to make more of this potion, it would be good in battles she thought.

When she heard that Leopold was with some goody goody, Raven whirled around and shook her head, her eyes were a little wide with surprise, she would have thought he would be out killing and twisting peoples minds left right and center;

"No I did not know that, she's not British is she?" she growled lightly.

Post by Konig Nickel Fri Jul 27, 2012 4:03 am

Konig was really looking forward to training with Raven so that he could do some of the things that she could do. Namely one thing was the ability to just keep keeping. She never backed away in a fight, she always walked forwards and just seemed to soldier on through everything thrown at her,

"Well I was thinking just some more physical spells and combat styles you know? I do focus way too much on the mental battle after all. Perhaps I should learn to use short daggers?" he mused before grinning, "Why thank you my dear, I'm glad that you think that way. I'll be sure to do it again if you like it."

Seeing that Raven had not heard that Leopold was with some goody goody, Konig decided that he had to be the one to tell her. He was a tiny bit of a gossip he admitted to himself. He chuckled,

"No she's not British." he assured her, "It's that woman... you know... the one named after a tree?"

Raven smirked a little bit when Konig said that he wanted her to teach him her combat styles, he was a little bit withdrawn in the battle situation, because he used mental magic, it was nice to know that he wanted her to help him make himself even better at fighting.

"You could always use one of my friends you know." she said, resting her hand on one of the ones she kept on her at all time, before throwing it, closed, at Konig "Here, it'll be easier for me to teach you if you use something that I use."

Running her hand through her hair, Raven turned away for a moment, not wanting Konig to see her vulnerable expression until he accepted the gift of her razors, she had only ever given them to Briony and her children after all.

With a sigh Raven rolled her eyes; "Well I hope that he manages not to kill her, otherwise the Doctor will blame me." she hissed.

Konig could tell by the way Raven smirked that she approved of his idea to learn how to fight at closer ranges with more physical attacks. He wanted to be able to fight with knifes, to fight with more physical spells, because they would mean he wasn't helpless whenever someone proved able to counter his mental magics,

"One of your friends? They're so very precious to you though Raven, are you really sure?" he asked before catching the razor on reflex. He held it in his hand before smiling at Raven, "I know how much they mean to you. Thank you for this Raven."

When she turned away, obviously rather moved by having given him one of her razors, Konig moved forwards. He wrapped his arms around Raven, recognising that she felt vulnerable right now and needed a reassuring hug.

He chuckled a little bit, "Well from what I hear he might be turning a bit goody goody himself! He's only savagely beaten her abusive ex apparently."

Raven could tell by the way that Konig was responding that he was positively reacting to the gift, it was a relief to her and she knew that she didn't need any more reassurance than the tone in her voice, Biting her lip a little, she nodded her head in understanding.

"You are very welcome Konig, I know you are well placed to look after Annie, however, make sure that you polish her often, don't leave too much dried blood on her for too long okay?" she prompted a little bit worried about her friend.

Returning the brief hug, Raven looked at the timer and heard it go off, so moving from embracing Konig she picked up the next ingredient, some asphodel. Picking it up she placed it in the cauldron and picked up a ladel, stirring the potion for two minutes.

"Leopold is something I dont wish to discuss." she smirked "Whats the next step Konig?"

Konig knew that Raven didn't call her razors her 'friends' just for a laugh or because it sounded cool. No she called them that because they were her friends, they had always been there for her and always would be. The fact that she trusted him enough to give him one spoke a lot about their relationship and how strong it was,

"Don't worry Raven I'll look after Annie as if she were my own precious little daughter or sister." he gently stroked the razor with a finger before smiling up at Raven, "I know this means a lot to you so thank you again Raven."

Seeing that the potion needed to be tended, and that she did not wish to discuss Leopold anymore, Konig went back to the book. He paused a little bit before shrugging and looking around in her supplies. After a few moments he came back with what appeared to be a heart,

"One heart of a lion." he paused, "Why do you have a heart of a lion anyway?"

Raven nodded her head, she was trusting Konig with something big and she knew that he realised this and that he would not mess up the chance that she had been courageous enough to bestow upon him, she did love him after all, he deserved to have at least one of her friends.

"You're welcome Konig." she nodded her head "I know that you will take care of her, I am just a little anxious, the times I have given them away before it has been a bad experience."

Chuckling darkly when Konig asked her why she had a lions heart in the potions cupboard, Raven grinned and she looked at some of the other potions in the book before she moved it back to their potion they were brewing at the moment.

"I just have it for potions like this, dark potions often require some sort of organ and hearts are the most common, and they look intimidating if someone decides to come snooping." she sniggered madly.

Even though she trusted him (how could she not when she had entrusted him with one of her friends?) he knew that she was uneasy about handing away one of her friends. But the fact that she did anyway, trusting him almost blindly, was heartwarming. It meant that she really did love him,

"Well I'll not let anything happen to her or to us Raven." he assured her with a gentle kiss to the lips before grinning, "Besides, this time it'll be different. I'm pretty different to everyone else after all, the benefit of being slightly mad!"

Handing her the lion's heart, Konig chuckled a little bit as he shook his head. That made a sort of sense though so he didn't question it too much. Of course he couldn't resist adding,

"Raven... do you honestly think anyone will snoop around your house?" he asked her with a smirk, "There are things in the front room, on display, that would scare the hell out of people. I doubt they'd want to look for hidden, worse, things."

Raven grinned wickedly when Konig said that he was different, that he was mad and that was why he was different, she thought that it was true because it was one of the main reasons why they could understand each other so well. At least, thats what Raven thought.

"I think that is one of the reasons that I know you will take care of her, you know how much she means to me, because we are both mad." she smirked, tucking her hair behind her ear.

Squeezing the heart in her hand, with a little smirk on her lips, Raven then let it drop into the cauldron and she watched it fizzle, happily looking at the potion beginning to take shape underneath her, she turned her attention to Konig.

"What's next?" she asked directly.

Her mind was cast to the other things in her home and she giggled madly, of course the collection of skeletons she chopped up to make her housepoints and the smashed watches and flint she used to sharpen her razors made her front room scary; "I guess thats right, but still, its not that bad is it?"
