Helping each other out {Ebony and Melody}

Ebony walked beside Melody as they reached where the room of requirements is.

"What kind of room should we get?" she asked.

"A room that no one will be able to interrupt us in,one filled with any books or items that we will help with what we're doing,"I said.

Ebony nodded and thought about that room before a door appeared. She walked in with Melody and smiled.

She walked over to a big arm chair and sat down, her legs over the arm rest.

I walked in smiling and sat down in an arm chair opposite to Ebony's.It was a nice feeling to be helping someone and I decided that I should do it more often.

Ebony looked over at her.

"Ok... so ... shall we start with my brother or your parents?"

"I think that your brother needs the help more than I want to find my parents so let's start with him,"I said."We need to figure out what type of object we're going to enchant first.Maybe it should be something your brother can wear."

Ebony nodded.

"If you're sure" she replied.

"I guess we should start with what i should use to protect him, I mean it can't be anything too obvious or father will take it off him"

"But like what?"I asked."Do you usually give anything to your brother?It can't be anything small because he might lose it and your owl might not be able to carry it if it's too heavy."

Ebony thought and then smiled. She pulled off a necklace her mother gave her, it was more of a mans looking necklace, she kept the locket herself.

"My mother gave me this along with the locket before she died. I could put the spell on this and give this to him, it won't look too suspicious" she said.

"Good idea,"I said as I grabbed a book."Now we just need to figure out which spell to use."

Ebony nodded and grabbed another book that looked like it might have something in it.

She smiled and read through the book.

I had never actually enchanted an object.I've turned chocolates into caramels but I've never put a charm on anything and I hoped that at least one of us got it right when we tried it out on Ebony's necklace.

Ebony finally found something.

"Here... This looks good... why don't we practice on this" she said holding up a pillow

"Great idea,"I said happily."So what's the spell?"

Ebony read it out along with the wand movement for it.

I said the spell using the correct wand movement on the pillow.
"Now we just need to see if it worked,"I said and then holding the pillow over my head I added"Um,attack me."

Ebony nodded and did as she said.

She said the incandation of an extremely mild spell that wouldn't do any damage even if the pillow didn't work.

I opened my eyes.The pillow and me were still in one piece.
"It worked!"I exclaimed."I didn't feel a thing.Now we just need to put the spell on the necklace."

Ebony nodded and passed her the necklace.

Using the right wand movements I said the spell onto the necklace and then passed the necklace back to her.

Ebony smiled.

"Thanks" she said taking it.

"Shall we try it out one more time before i send it?" she asked as she put the necklace on so Melody could do a spell

"Sounds like a good idea,"I replied and I said the same attack spell that she used because I didn't really want to hurt her.

Ebony had closed her eyes in case it hurt.

she looked up when it didnt.

"It worked" she beamed.

"Great!"I said.Then I suddenly realized something."Even if we found my parents now I couldn't just go to them.My foster mom would think that I'd ran away and she'd be worried and I can't summon myself to them."

"I can summon you too them, you could always talk to you foster parents first and then go and find your real parents?"
